Our router experience at Best Buy was filled with a lot of computer talk, we just needed to know if a base model worked for us or if we needed something a little more advanced. We got that, eventually. Our router works just fine in our home, both upstairs and downstairs. The installation was simple and to the point, no problems there. I wasn't thrilled about paying $50 retail for a router, but it is what it is.

Great product, very easy to installed and to setup - WEP key is generated and the network is fully secured, easy to setup the network name. In general, very good product it does wonders with slow connections using modem.

I bought this router for my mother-in-law's apartment, as she has a DSL modem. I wanted a wireless router so we could use our various devices (iphone, netbook) on her network. I had never bought or installed a router on my own, so this was a first. After reading user reviews, I decided against a Belkin and bought this Netgear N300 router for $59.99. The setup was incredibly easy - the installation CD guides you through every step. I easily named the network and provided a password. The network was up and running in about 15 minutes. The range is very good - I was able to maintain a connection in the downstairs dining room of her apartment building. I definitely recommend this router, especially for those with little experience in setting up wireless networks.

In just a few minutes all of my household's wireless devices were up and running because the setup was so easy. Everything still connects to the internet quickly and even the range is nice. I highly recommend this product.

I replaced my Cable modem and router since I had the old ones for years. new cable modem and this router made a huge difference for my internet use. I went from 5-10 Mbps to 30 or more Mbps jus like that. It was easy set up but I am little disappointed with the distance. It appears that this router has shorter distance than my old one but this is N, which is much faster. I kept the old one and using it for my netflicks streaming via TV. For some reason my TV has better streaming with old router than this new router. I am pretty happy with this router. I am getting what I paid for.

I've used many types of routers before, but this is my first experience with Netgear. This one setup pretty easily, with standard web interface. It has the features most people need, including port forwarding which I needed. It was working pretty well for a couple days with stable WIFI connection and internet connectivity. Suddenly on the third day or so, it loses internet connection. Although devices can still connect to the WIFI, the router is unable to negotiate connection with the ISP. Unfortunately at this point it was outside the Bestbuy return period so I had to call Netgear customer support. Even though I have experience trouble shooting networking issues, the Netgear rep wanted me to go through the same process before issuing me a RMA, wasting more than an hour of my time. Even by that point he wasn't finished; there were more hoops for me to jump through. I just gave up by this point, there were too many hoops to jump through. That's probably their strategy to minimize the number of RMA's they have to issue. Most other companies will just believe you when you say you did the troubleshooting steps and confirm the product is defective and just issue a RMA. I just wasted my money on this junk. Never buying Netgear again.

I have been buying linksys routers since I can remember. I always spring for the $130+ models because you get what you pay for...right? Well the past 2 Linksys routers that I have had in the past 3 years have crapped out on me. So, as a quick fix, I bought the NETGEAR. I have had it for a couple of months now and it does everything a $130 router does!! This router will determine if I contiune to go cheap in the future.

It was not as easy to install as the salesman said it would be. I could not connect wirelessly to the internet. When I called for tech support, I was transferred to a third party company. Which I was not told by Netgrear. The tech guy, although he fixed my problem, told me my computer was going to crash at any moment and that I should buy THEIR 24/7 tech support for $169/year!!! Hmmm, I didn't fall for it but he was trying to get me to buy it while he was controlling my computer.....that made me nervous!! However, the router has been working fine for the 3 days that I have had it.

I was having all kinds of problems with a previous wireless router, which I will not name, but I kept getting booted offline, other people were jumping onto my service. it was a pure nightmare for someone that works from home. I purchased the Netgear and I was able to set up security features so now No One can jump on, I stay online without getting booted off and No One even can see that I have a wireless router. If you want security and consistency get the Netgear. Love It, Best $ I ever spent.

I love my new router. It was very affordable for an N router, super quick and easy to set up, and out performs my expectations. Don't hesitate. Buy this router.

I ventured into the world of building a wireless network having never built any sort of network. I was able to install the router using the clear instructions. It started with ease. I had some initial bumps in attaching my new wireless printer, but after waiting overnight, it simply kicked right in. I'm not sure what I did or didn't do differently that next day. My next step will be to install something in another room and see how the connection works.

I have used this wireless router for about 30 days and it works great. I am glad I chose to have the Geek Squad install it since I'm sure it would have challenged me and taken too much time. I use it mainly to drive my laptop computer and also to stream HD Netflix movies to my main TV. For a middle of the road router, it is incredible that it can stream HD without virtually no interruption; i.e., only one time out of about 10 movies did I experience any interruption while it re-buffered.

I got this router not long ago, the installation was so easy and fast and as far as the signal goes it is awesome....As of right now I do not have anything bad to say about this product....I will recomended..

I have a linksys router at home that literally took me several hours to set up. I was expecting the same based on the assumption that all routers are as complicated as the Linksys routers. Well I was quite surprised. The router was set up in under 15 minutes and all the computers in my wireless business network and the printers were all locked in and connected to the router. No problems at all and no need to contact tech support. The router works like a charm. Signal has always been strong and signal has not dropped at all. I was looking at a wireless N Belkin router at my local best buy store when the sales associate told me that i would be better off going with the Netgear router. Well he was right! Plus the price was right as well.

It was time to replace a old Netgear "G" wireless router with an "N". I saw a special at Best Buy for a D-Link DIR-615 and bought it. I have installed MANY routers through the years, and assumed installing the D-Link would be like falling off a log. Wrong. Following the D-Link instructions to a "T" (several times) I never could get it to work (defective maybe?), and frankly, I did not have the time/patience to call D-Link to troubleshoot, so I simply retuned it and went back to Netgear. This router installed beautifully and solved our range problem - the workstation farthest away can now connect and stay connected with great throughput - huge improvement. I highly recommend this Router. I should never have strayed from Netgear...

Being a helpdesk pro, I breezed through the installation, Performance has been great so far. I can do VUDU, Netlifix streaming with great quality. The only thing im missing is gigabit ethernet. A civillian user should have no trouble installing this device, just use the CD in the box and all should be fine! if you are a sophisticated user looking to do some port forwarding and other more advanced options at a budget price you need not look further.

Great product for the price so far, ease of installation, no drops or disconnects and no resets have been required since purchase and installation well over a month ago. Very capable piece for the price..
