Good for online game for 4 guys in our dorm
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We purchased it for online game (lol). So far it works pretty good and stable. Compared with our old Asus RT-N10, it is stable. We dont need to unplug it after few days. It works for 4 guys online gaming (lol) simultaneously. Easy to install but it locked some functionality, need to unlock it with opensource driver.

Great for the technophobe!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I brought this home and within 20 minutes I had wifi. I live in a 1,400 sq. ft. condo and have a great signal throughout, even on the patio. I've now had this for 2 months and haven't had to reset it.

Great wireless router for the price

Need to restart every few days
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was in the market for a new wireless router after I realized that my old one was 7 years old and began to constantly need to be restarted in order to use the wireless function. I even had the cable company check my old modem (which was functional and tested perfectly) and replace it with a newer model just in case, so the issue is definitely with the router. This router was easy to install and had decent enough reviews, so I figured that this would be a good purchase. In general, it works really well, but only 2 days into using the router, I found myself needing to restart it 2 -3 times a week since it would inexplicably stop communicating with my computers every few days. I understand that this will happen , but it just feels too frequent to be such a new device. Sure it's only a few moments out of my life, but it completely tops the annoyance meter when I am looking forward to having a lazy day in bad and pop open my iPad to see that it's searching for wifi, forcing me to go to the office and restart.

Great router for basic needs
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had a similar Linksys router that only lasted a couple of years and no help from their customer service, so decided to try Netgear this time. This router is pretty good for basic needs - able to network all of my PCs, game consoles and home theater system with ease. Just wish some of the basic router came with a USB port, but i guess what do you expect for $50?

The easy installation.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall it is a great product, I would recommend buying to anyone that is a Novice in installation area. I even helped a salesman at Best Buy make a sale to another customer. If you have problems hooking this up and have more than one hours of problems I would exchange it for another one. This is a simple product to install. I researched this product for days before choosing this model.

Easiest Router I have set up
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the 3rd router I have set up in my home. I have done a Linksys, D-Link and then this one. This was by far the easiest to set up and get all of my laptops and computer connected to. I planned on hours of working on it and within 1 hour I had the router and computers set up. I would recommend this! Our computers run faster too. I am pleased.

Works Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this as a replacement to a Dlink router. NetGear was much easier to set up and keep up. The Dlink would drop signal on a fairly regular basis. Have not had a problem with NetGear.

Good value!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to install and works exactly like it should. Overall great product at an affordable price! I lucked out because it was advertised cheaper in another store so BB honored the lower price.

Very easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this for my parents, they live in the sticks and have a small town DSL service. On top of that, I was setting it up with an old laptop running Windows XP. This unit figured it all out with just a couple of questions and I had it up and running in no time. It seems to be a great device for the novice user or for easy setup of 'complicated/out of the norm' situations like mine. Didn't get a chance to test for dead spots in the house or other performance issues. We needed easy setup and that's what this unit delivered.

Works like a champ!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When I bought this it was because of the Netgear name for the most part but the price was right, too. It worked great right out of the box. No issues.

Great Wireless Router
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent router for setting up a wireless network in a small to medium size home. Must pay attention to the directions when installing the router, and leave the plastic wrap on the router to insure you put the plugs in the correct place. You may have to disable your virus protection and firewall to install but shouldn't be for more than 15 to 30 minutes depending on how quickly your install the software. I've installed two of these so far in friends homes and both have worked beautifully. Highly recommend this unit.

Better Than Linksys!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this to replace my old and worn out Linksys Wireless Router.... it does FANTASTIC!!!!! I play A LOT of online games, and it has YET to skip a beat!! I have 2 Desktop computers wired directly, a BluRay Player connected to it, 2 laptops wireless and my iPod... I get a good ping and no lag on my games. For every day use (Surfing the web) it's super fast and reliable! Don't know where all the negative reviews are coming from!!

Great Router in Every Aspect
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my first review. This one will be easy to type though. This router surpassed my expectations. I was upgrading finally from my Linksys to this beauty. The Best Buy rep highly recommended this model for a good reason. This unit was a snap to setup, install and start using. Kudos for this fine product. I highly recommend it.

Great
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a Linksys Wrt 160N first and had many problems with it, with no luck I called customer support and was on the phone with them 3 times over 2 days and over 2 hours of checking settings and so on. After all this I still would get online for a little while and then it would not connect. I took this router back to Best Buy and bought a Netgear WNR2000 for $20 less and although I could not use the install disk with any luck, I called tech support and within 15 min. was up and running without getting bumped off line.

Great product from a trusted brand name!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had Netgear routers in the past and this model blows away the previous iterations. I was able to unpack the contents and plug it in to my DSL modem. The Win7 PCs, DirecTv, Wii, XBox360, and BluRay player across all reaches of my house connected to my secured wireless network w/no problems. I would recommend this product to anyone wanting to set up a home network.
