Great range using the N-Wireless, no dropouts.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had this router for about 6 months now. I'm not really computer savvy, and recently noticed my laptop was recieving a G signal as opposed to the better N. I call Netgear for tech support to fing out they charge for over the phone support after 90 days!!! But the product has a lifetime warranty, oh I understand now thanks Net Gear? So I use the free email tech support Net Gear offers, end up waiting 2 days for a response, and they don't answer my clearly stated question! I figured out that under wirless setting you have to set the security on WPA2 with the mode set on either of the 2 highest speeds. In summary its a great product as long as you don't need tech support. Everyone is trying to make extra money, now its with tech support thats overseas I might add.

VERY Easy Setup and NO Problems!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Setup was very simple and there have been no issues. The signal is so much better that I don't even need my range extender in a 4000 sf single level home. GREAT PRODUCT!!!

beats the hell out of Linksys
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For months I've been rebooting my modem to get the network up and now I think it was the Linksys router. It finally burnt out and I got another one and the wireless part burnt out in a day. I started reading reviews and talking to other people. which I should have done to begin with. Dell's wireless program kept asking for a 13 letter string password but the set up didn't specify the length. When I added the correct length it worked. Maybe its my lack of experience with wireless routers. If it wasn't for my wife's laptop I would have saved time hard wiring the house with cable. The WNR2000 has been running for a week now with no problems.

Awesome Upgrade!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I just bought this router today to replace my 5+ year old 802.11b router, a Netgear MR814v2. I never had problems with my old Netgear router, but I just bought a new Mac Book in February 2010 and noticed that my wireless internet connection was intermittently slow with my old router. I read a bunch of Mac Forum posts on this common issue and ultimately decided to try to upgrade my router. I chose this Netgear WNR2000 "N 300" router, and I certainly made the right choice! I highly recommend this router... easy to set up (less than 5 minutes), easy online router interface, and super fast connections recognized immediately. I love Netgear!

Simple to use
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this router for my home and it works great. The WPS feature is especially nice. I hooked up a desktop PC, my PS 3 and a Blu-ray player to it in about 10 minutes with Netgear Wireless adapters. I thought WPS would only work with other Netgear products but I was also able to use WPS to connect my DirecTV box so I could get on demand. If you're a technophobe WPS is a live saver.

good product, easy setup
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased a different brand to replace my Netgear that was no longer connecting wireless. After hours trying to get connection on the other router and even calling for tech support I decided it was a lost cause and I would return it. I bought this, and had it set up in no time. I was able to use the push to connect function on a couple of the devices which made installation even easier. That is a nice feature. I have had the device for about a month with no issues at all.

Better than Linksys...obviously.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this one after both of my linksys routers started acting up...it was getting pretty annoying. THIS router, however, was much easier to set up. I thought the push capabilities were pretty cool. Only downside was that I didn't notice that you couldn't use a printer in the UBS port which is what I was kind of hoping for. It's supposedly only used for hard drives and the like.

Great Vulue
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This wireless router was purchased for my parent's small office. The first one that was purchased had issues and had to be reset every morning. After a return the second unit is working with no problems at all. The router was very easy to set up and is good for an office type environment. If you are going to be streaming movies and video then you should purchase the higher end Netgear wireless routers. For the price and what my parents needed this for it was perfect.

What a deal
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a previous Best Buy bought router die just recently, and there were no specials on installation at the time that it happened. So, I bought the N300 router. I wanted a good router for my one computer, and this router is doing that job well. And the set-up of my new wireless network was extremely easy once I read the instructions. I was even able to set up a guest network at the same time, something that the Geek Squad rep did not do when he set up my first wireless router.

Works great!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had a horrible experience with a new Linksys wireless-N router and returned it to Best Buy. I replaced it with this model and the difference was like night and day! The software setup wizard worked well and I was on the Internet within 10 minutes. Setting up my home wireless network using this router and the Netgear WN311B wireless-N PCI adapter was easy. The Internet connection and the home network connection are both quite fast and work well. I have a good signal everywhere in the house. Both the wireless-N connectionn to our other desktop and the legacy wireless-G connections to my laptop and handheld work well too.

Good router, but not the best
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This router replaced my tried and true Linksys WRT, setup was easy, and I like Netgear's UI for setup. I still haven't been able to find where to adjust my signal settings, so I am getting less range from this router than my previous one. All in all it handles most internet traffic very well, and takes care of all my wife connections. It's not the best, but its good.

Good performance at reasonable price
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this replace older Netgear 802.11 g router that was several years old. Purchased a new computer with 802.11 n capabilities so I thought it would be a good time to upgrade. Installation and testing was easy. So far the performance is much better. Advertised at capable of speeds up to 300 Mbps. Typical performance so far is 78 - 144 Mbps which is faster that the 54 Mbps or less that I got from the old router. Upright design takes up less space and perhaps better cooling.
