It's a wireless router. It's easy to set up and works vary well.

movies are a little slow to load but it works great for everything else and my access is the issue there not the router. it is matched well with the needs that I have my daughter and friends have no problem with school work and light gaming it came with free setup and the geek squad guy was very professional and efficient he took about fifteen minutes and was done

The router has excellent reception. I have it set up in my basement with computers on the first and second floor. We have great reception all around. The setup was extremely easy and I have had no problems with it yet. This is my second Netgear router and have been very pleased with both.

The unit was easy to set up for security. Turn off broadcasting and encryption. I so far have not found how to set MAC address filtering as another level of protection.

Geek Squad came and did some computer cleanup work on our computers and they installed this Netgear box to improve our internet connection, and does it ever do the job. We have multiple devices, desktop, laptops, iPad, PS3, Wii, and they are all running seamlessly with this router.

I have connected my main PC through a wired connection and it works fine. I have connected the wifi to my iPhone, iPad, MacBook Pro and Sharp smart TV without any problems whatsoever. Setup was very quick and easy on my PC running windows Vista. I would've bought this much sooner if I would've realized how easy it would be to setup. Great product!

I hooked it up without reading the directions. Installed the software and haven't looked at it since. I think that says it all.

I have 4 computers total: one very old one downstairs, 2 newer ones (1 and 2 years old) upstairs, and an ipad. With my old router, I got one bar upstairs and no wireless with the ipad upstairs or downstairs. The new router allowed my ipad to work downstairs only and the two upstairs computers still only got one bar but they felt like they were running faster. I think this might be the most I can ask for. Overall, the router is better than my old one, but granted my old one was probably 8 years old! The set-up wizard did not work and I had to do it manually. Also, it defaults and makes you set-up a password protected network which I did not want and then gave me a 39 character password that I am trying to change! I would recommend this product.

This router is nothing special but not much money,6 months and it quit working. I choose it because of the Lifetime Warranty, who would put a lifetime Warranty on something that was junk. Now I know, all test on my router come back as it does not see the Ethernet cable, but I can plug the same cable into my laptop and it works fine. It is a hardware issue.Phone support says $70 to talk to me because it is over 90 days go to online it is free . On line says it is over 90 days, So the trick is always say it is software and demand twice as much money as the router sells for to support it. I cant pay $70 to get a RMA# for a $39 router. I have run all the test and so has my ISP, and a lot of other reviews agree it is hardware and that is lifetime warranty which is 90 days at net gear. I did not know what kind of company they were when I bought this so I warn you do not count on any support or warranty. I wasted 12 hours of my life trying to get this Net gear product to work.

I brought this to replace the wireless modem I was renting from Time Warner Cable. The TWC modem kept messing up and I would have to order a service request every 4 to 5 months, or they would ship me a new modem. This one works so much better and have no problems.

I purchased this wireless router for use in my apartment. I would have to say, it was a little more expensive than I would have liked, but completely worth every penny. It was very easy to set up, just pop in the disk, and it basically does the rest for you. I purchased this brand because I also have the same router at use in my parents house.

The products works okay. Signal strength is good. I am able to get a strong signal throughout my apartment. The only problem I have is that the router signal usually disappears at some point every day, sometimes mor than once which requires resetting the unit.

Initial setup for this router was a breeze. Follow the basic instructions and it just works. The wireless range is pretty good considering there is no external antenna on the router, seems powerful enough for a small, multiple story house. Overall a nice simple router.

I got a referbished one a little less than a year ago. An resently been having internet connection trouble. Did all troubleshooting, just find that it's the router. I Don't knew if it was because it was referbished or not. But while it worked, it was great.

This router was great when we first bought it, but as time went on, our internet dropped frequently and didn't have a good range. Terrible for multiplayer gaming and holding connections. We frequently have to reset the router to be able to receive internet connection. I'd look into other options.
