Very easy to set up and installs quickly. The instructions are clear and concise and new users will have no problems at all. As a user, guarantee it! As a WoW player, the wireless is clean with no lag from the wireless and going through two walls and a fireplace.

    Nice design but feels under-powered

Nice small design. Hooked up fine. The web UI is a little laborious. Every screen seems to take 5-10 seconds to update. Advertised as 300mb/s but alerts you that it will likely default to 150mb/s. Feels like misleading marketing. Have only been running for a day now, so can't comment on longevity.

I am technologically challenged. I replaced a wired router with this one. It really couldn't have been easier. I hooked it up to my mac desktop, (osx 10.7.5, lion). I have only connected wirelessly to my galaxy s3 phone so far, and will do so with laptop later today, but foresee no problems. Everything was smooth and simple.

After trying Belkin, this is so dependable

Purchased a Belkin router, and had nothing but problems from the onset. Constant software issues with all stations attempting to use, and losing connection. This Netgear model has had absolutely no problems, and has sufficient range for a small office with multiple users. I highly recommend after my experience with another manufacturer.

Great for small home networking and basic internet

Easy to set up, easy to connect to devices, and pretty good range. The only issue is that if the power supply gets interrupted at all it will start resetting the router once every 30 minutes. I would suggest getting a surge protector with built-in power backup.

    NETGEAR Wireless-N Router - Great!

Our old Cisco Wireless router died and that left us with a large communication gap. We purchased a NETGEAR Wireless-N Router from Best Buy and were pleasantly surprised at the affordable cost and the ease of installation. No kidding, it almost installed itself. It works flawlessly and we thank the Geek Squad for their advice on this.

It's a decent router. Nothing grandeur, but it does the job. I went for it because I game online, while kids and wife watching netflix/hulu/game at the same time. Old router was limiting wifi to 10mbps this fixed that quick. Now we get the 30mbps we pay for.

This was purchased since my Linksys WRT54G2 died 6 months out of warranty. I will never use a Linksys product due to the face the last 2 I have had both died within 2 years of buying them. This product has proven to provide faster internet (leaving me to say the Linksys was a bottleneck...) . Why didn't I buy this 2 years ago??

    Computer-Challenged Can Install!

I know virtually nothing about the mechanics of computers. My cable company wanted to charge $150 to install. The instruction disk that accompanied the router was so easy to understand I installed the router myself in about 30 minutes. I have used this brand of router in the past and it is great quality at a very reasonable price.

I bought this recently to hook up my new laptop and two wired computers. The cd made things easy and the connections were color coded. It is a bit high, which I don't really like. I'm afraid it's going to fall. The only time consuming part was arranging all the wires! No problems so far, I can use the laptop all around the house.

7 months after purchase, internet over WiFi died. Tried using Netgrear software to update Firmware. Then never reconnected. They charge for phone support 90 days after purchase. Never buying or recommending Netgear again.

Does all I need it to do

This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Set up and installation were easy. Later I updated my wireless card in my desktop to coordinate with my new router, and they work seemlessly. My only concern has to do with my settings. For some reason I loose my connection, and rebooting is the only way for my computer/Windows to bring it back. Other than that, I'm very happy

    Good wireless router!

Got this one because I wanted the 300Mbps data transfer rate reason be kid plays games online, and the price was right. If you don't do online gaming, the 150Mbps might fit you better, and it is a little bit cheaper. No issues installing it, and the wireless adapters picked it up right away. I have no complains so far.
