The product itself is great. Had a little difficulty installing. Called my cable/internet provider who helped a little but ultimately suggested I call support for the product. Upon doing so I found out that the only way to get help was to PAY A FEE!! Needless to say, I figured it out on my own but only after a couple stressful hours.....

I am a tech consultant, and work with wireless on a daily basis. I'm aware of its downside, and expected performance. But I must say I am very disappointed in this router. I was replacing a Netgear Wireless G router that I have had for some time that still works, but is a bit worse for the wear. I thought I would stick with Netgear based on the price of this unit, so I purchased it this week. Installation is very easy, and out of the box you even get a secure passphrase on your wireless network. But my issue is with the wireless signal. For some reason I kept losing internet on the wireless only; on all my devices - Apple, Windows, and Android. I had to keep powercycling the router to get it to come back up, but it would go down again at different times. I changed wireless channel, speed, and many other advanced settings trying to make this work, but none of them seemed to help. I have gone back with "old faithful" for the time being and it is working like a charm. Reading over all the other reviews for this unit, maybe I just got a lemon & should return to the store, but I must say I will probably go with a different manufacturer this time.

what can I say, it's a wireless modem. has very good range.

Our wireless router went out and I did a quick stop to Best Buy. Compared the may different ones MYSELF and was glad I got what I did. Still working on 'networking' my wireless printer. Just haven't made time to sit down and do it. It worked without doing anything with the last router but this one seems a bit different. Had a D-link.

Bought the router suggested by the salesman. Didn't pay for geek install and was worried about doing it. Read instructions and easily installed it in a couple of hours. Think all encryption is enabled and secure. Working great-connects our laptop, Wii and Blueray disc player for updates. Also assists our phones with internet capabilities.

Installation was not real clear. The CD did not work for me and I was not real sure that I had completed the installation correctly although the unit worked. Had difficulty connecting another computer because I did not know what my password was. Eventually found it on NETGEAR website. Directions could have been clearer on install.
