For years we've talked about switching to a wireless router to replace our wired one. It's been wonderful having the ability to get internet any where in the house now and also in the yard! We also can stream netflix now with the Blu-ray player and wireless which has been great.

In the beginning, it would disconnect almost daily. On the second week only every 2 or 3 days. Now, it rarely happens. They should warn if this kind of behavior is normal, or some sort of adaptation process.

Strong quality WiFi signal.
Setup was straight forward but when it comes to connecting wirelessly a call to customer service is a necessary step.
Though the customer service rep was a total pro connecting should be something the average consumer should be able to do on his own.

A bit tricky on the online install. Had to resort to getting an external HD to feed info from disk since I was using my netbook at the time. Still much easier to understand than the Cisco router at home in VA.

Other people have this & love it, 2 Comcast techs said that I could not use it. THey told me that with 3 others, probably trying to keep only their product

I liked that every item I needed for WiFi it easily connected. But the installation was not easy I had to call a tech to get it set up. But once it was set up it just really did what it was suppose to.

I bought this to replace mys sisters Link Sys router. It was ten times better than the old one. The thing that won me over was the ability to shut off the Wi-Fi, which works out well for knocking my nephew off line from his COD Modern Warfare II Battles. Easy to install and fast!

We used this device to go wireless in the in-laws house over Christmas. I needed wireless for work, and a total of 6 grandchildren needed wireless for fun.

Works well with two computers.

Was a bit difficult to set up at first but I finally figured it out. I've two computers directly cabled into the router. It's not a true wireless system yet. I'm glad that I have password security to prevent other wireless computer owners from tapping into my system.

I had a DC Link adapter previously which was giving me 1-2 mb download speed and I was getting 1 or 2 bars in some areas of my 1800 sq ft home. I upgrade that with Netgear Wireless N Router and I am now getting 7-8 mb download speed with full signal at all areas of my house.

We upgraded to a gaming router that would accomodate 3 laptops, 1 desktop, 1 Xbox 360, 1 wireless printer and 1 Blu-ray player. This router works awesome for all these products and we don't experience any delays.

It helps my Acer Chromebook function. I recently another computer to my and I didn't have another printer. With this Wireless Router - I hooked up one computer to the router and hooked up the other computer to the printer - now I have 2 computers using 1 printer.

This was a highly reviewed device which is why I purchased it. After installing the router, which was very easy, I was very happy with it. Over the next 2 weeks though it was obvious that the wireless was not going to work for us. We had to power cycle the router every 1-2 days to keep the wireless alive. I have been a huge netgear fan, but this product did not live up to our expectations. I also opened a ticket with Netgear who had me do all of the usual: power cycle, reset to factory, call them back, etc. After 3 phone calls they recommended I take it back to the store. The support was friendly but basically worthless. The 2nd and 3rd techs tried to have me repeat the same steps that the first person had me do. I had the ticket number in hand for each call, but that did not seem to help expedite the support process. Overall just a very frustrating experience with Netgear.

Installed this in my sons house. He only has a couple people using the net and mostly one at a time. Router works great for his setup. Router worked and has not had one issue since start up.

Since this purchase, my internet comes back after a blackout. Before, I had to reformat my router and sometimes would be out for days.

I bought this to replace my parent's old Linksys WRT54G, which completely failed. I was able to set this up in minutes and put all the same settings of the old network to save my parent's having to change anything with their devices. It was so nice and easy.

repeater function no-go

I'm looking for a repeater, another brand worked great for 3 days before dying (predicted by online reviewers!) and this unit advertised a repeater function.
I set it up, gave the MAC of the router to repeat, saw it logged into the router as a WDS (wifi distribution system) with good signal strength, and got absolutely nothing. All the diagnostics (which are few) appeared OK, but it simply did not appear to broadcast its existence as a repeater.
Most people will not try to use the repeater function, so this review will be irrelevant. Don't get this unit for a repeater.

Pretty quickly we got this router connected to both laptops and the PS3 in our home. The first few days the signal seemed sketchy but since then we have had no problems - could have been unrelated.
