When the router works, it is good. However, I've had it for approx. one month and it has lost signal several times. The instructions that come with the router are not helpful at all to get it up and running again. I am new to wireless setup so I'm not sure what the problem is. My solution is to turn the router off and on again which restarts the signal most of the time.

I've had no problems with this but I did have problems with the Motorola sb6121 cable modem. It didn't work and Best Buy didn't have any more in stock.

I needed a replacement and decided on this one. It is probably more than I needed. I have no complaints.

I purchased this same router over nine years ago, and it has been efficient and just right for my needs. It was time to replace it, so I bought the same router and I love it.

Purchased the product and it worked well for about two months. Router looked powered on and connected (visually by the lights), but could not connect from any PC (2 different PC's - via 2 different ethernet cables) to the router itself. Contacted tech support and it was determined the router needed to be replaced. Used my older Netgear G router for the two weeks I was waiting for the replacement; which worked just fine. Received the replacement "refurbished" router and it also acted the same as the original defective unit - no connection. Called support again (another 30 minute call), moved my PC connection to another of the 4 ports and it seemed to fix the connectivity issue. Hung up the phone, 2 minutes later - I lost the connection. Played with the cables and ports again, restored the connection again - then subsequently lost the connection again. Plugged in the old G router again - no problems. I give up, I dont want to fool around with support and another 2 weeks again. I will use the old router until I decide to buy another N router (again), but it won't be a Netgear product.

Works Perfect and is very easy to set up! Have not had any problems with it and is a great value for the price.

This product have help me and the family even with about 6 separate users the wireless connection is good faster and convenient i recommend it to all people who want fast and speedy wireless connection.

Seems to work great in my home. I use it in the house for my wireless needs on my laptop and my brother's laptop. It hasn't given us any problems and I'm always able to access the internet when I need to.

I was using and OLD Belkin and was afraid to update my system....Until the bandwidth problem started to rise....Netgear took care of that problem with installationa and simple instruction...Thank you

I was told Netgear was better than belkin, but I don't think I've had as much success as I would like connecting to the internet with it.

The router occassionally loses connection to Xfinity modem. Reestablishing connection is pure agony. Per NetGear, power off modem, router, computer, Power them up one at a time starting with modem. Push reset on router. May or may not work. Sometimes takes 4 or 5 tries. Currently cannot get it to reconnect. Netgear's solution: treated issue as though I was installing for first time! Installed in March 2011, problem has occured several times. Just about ready to replace with another manufacturer.

Had to change some settings to get it to work. Requires reset once a day to reestablish connection

ever since deciding on a new router and upgrading to the netgear we have had fewer problems with internet access and less of a tendency for a window to come up that reads "unable to connect."

I have had this router for a month and have not had any problems with it. I followed the instructions and had it installed within 30 minutes and our internet was up & running with no problems.

I replaced an old Netgear wirelss-g router with this new router. My old g-router worked flawlessly until it decided to die on me. I never had problems with watching steaming video on my laptop in my bedroom. The new router worked great at first or at least I thought so. I soon found that if I got any distance from the router (as little as 30-40 feet away) it would drop streaming video, and was slow loading websites. I contacted tech support, which was courteous and helpful. At their recommendation, I changed channels in case I was having an interference issue. It seemed to help somewhat, but if I went to the bedroom I would have the same problems of stuttering or buffering of streaming video or complete dropout of the video. The router is located in a central location of the house (I call the "computer room"). The house is only 86 feet long, so I am no further than 50 feet away. I am very disappointed in this router and will be taking it back.

Just about every 3 days I was losing my wireless connection (printer wouldn't work, laptops could not connect to the internet). Geek Agent was pretty sure I had a defective router so he replaced it. I went with the same model hoping that the new one would work fine. Time will tell.

This is an excellent product and is very user friendly. I was able to setup in 15 minutes and was up and running with 3 devices in 30 minutes.

Went into the store & had previously been informed we needed a different router. When I talked to young lady inside she told us we needed the "N" router. So glad I asked her before purchase.
