wished I had known about Netgear when i first needed a router.

Wireless range is ok, it covers about 100 foot range. It does not drop out which is a big deal to me.

I'M VERY SATISFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT. THE PERFORMANCE IS GREAT.

This router was recommended to extend range for my wireless notebook. I haven't seen ANY difference. My connection STILL goes up and down...with no movement of the computer. I feel I wasted money, time and effort .

THIS PRODUCT IS A NOTHING MORE THAN A PITCH FOR OTHER SERVICES. SPENT ALMOST TWO HOURS ON PHONE JUST TO GET THE COMPANY TO ACTIVATE IT. HAD TO TELL THEM NO FOR SO CALLED SERVICES OFFERED SEVERAL TIMES.

I had this router for about 2 years. Last week my router started acting like a switch, and became useless. (I had the electric company come look at it) I found the box that the router came in, and it said lifetime warranty. I was on the phone with netgear for 45 minutes. The man I spoke to logged into my router, and said he was able to fix it but I had to pay $80.00. I asked why because I had a lifetime warranty? He said not this was useless because my hard drive was not ruined in the router. I bought a belkin and love it.

Plugged it in, hooked it up, ran the software, no problems

I had this router for about 1 week then I upgraded my connection speed to 100Mbps which apparently this device does not support. I returned the device without much hassle.

This product is reccomended and works well with Comcast.

While it's pretty easy to hook up without a CD (even though the sales clerk told me it had one), it at first went down about once a week. Okay I could tolerate that because I had heard from others that theirs did the same thing. Then (of course it just was after the warranty expired) it started to go down once a day. Now it's possible to go down twice a day. Yesterday it went down twice in 4 hours. Trying to get Netgear to respond or help is like pulling teeth. Their tech support won't help unless you pay if it is after 3 mos. You are on hold for longer than I have time and you can't get to Customer Service. They state "lifetime warranty" on their box but they don't adhere to that policy. I am going to write Consumer Affairs because I've been pulling my hair out with this. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!

I don't usually write reviews. But I have to share my experience with this product. I had a D-link G router for 5 yrs. Not once did I have a problem with it until it finally stopped working about 2 months ago. So I figured I would upgrade to an N router, being that I needed to get a new one. Plus I thought I would try out Netgear. I bought one took it home set it up in about 10 minutes. I had to call the company to help with a few set up issues. You only have 60 days of phone service with them. After that you have to pay to call them. I didn't care for that. Well I started getting slow connections and very bad lag. I thought it was my internet provider. But come to find out it was the router. In less then 3 weeks I had called Netgear over 30 times to change channels, mac addresses & this and that. The last time I talked to them they said it was defective to take it back. So I did, and got the same router again from a different best buy. I have only had this router for almost a month now and I am having the same problems. I have had my internet company come out to my house to check my lines and change my modem. But still I have had problems with this Netgear router. I have called them to many times to count. I could work for Netgear at this point. Because I know how to get to the routerlogin page without them even telling me and I know what area they want me to go to before they say it. I was told once again, "Ma'am this router seems to be defective too. You will have to bring it back to the store for a replacement." I will never buy anything from Netgear again. This is unacceptable from such a large company. I can understand one defective router, but 2 bought from different stores. I wouldn't recommend this router or any products from Netgear to my family, friends or even my enemies. I hope no one else has to go through all the trouble and aggravation that I have had too.

Great connection to the internet for all my computers.
