The family wanted cable and internet and we needed a router to make it happen. By rest service at the store and quick check out. I got home and typical guy just started plugging things in and bam cable and internet. Super simple and for a 3 bedroom 1700 sq ft house we get great signals any where..

Old Linksys died. Replaced it with this - better coverage and more reliable.

Know the area you want service and buy accordingly is important. This router will serve the purpose for a small apartment or house just fine. You get what you pay for and don't expect anything more. Works great for my application and budget. Easy to install.

If you aren't into gaming or using tons of wireless devices, this router is for you. I have used this router before and was purchasing one for my mother - she only will use it for wifi on her cell phones and maybe the occasional youtube video on her tv. All of her devices are Wireless-N with a top internet speed of 50Mbps - so this is perfect. However, the sales rep in the store kept arguing with me that this was NOT what she needed and that I needed to upgrade to the "AC" router with a higher wifi output speed as "AC is the new technology." He wouldn't listen to the fact that my mother does not have AC capable devices. He cast much doubt that I would be happy with this purchase as it was "bare bones basic" and then walked away. The product is just what she needed. It runs her three cell phone devices running on N technology, as well as her older smart tv running on N technology. If you have a handful of low wifi need devices and lower wifi speeds, this is for you. If you are a heavy streamer and gamer with AC enabled devices, this may not be the one. Do your research and don't let the store employees talk you out of what you actually need!

This was necessary for changing out our ISP. Switched from UVerse to Charter. Works just fine.

It's cheap and has good range for a small two bedroom apartment. Took off a star for setup instructions. I had to reset the router to get it working after it only accepted one wireless connection - a problem some other people had when I looked it up online

Had a great connection when I first set it up; two weeks later my Mountain Lion operating system automatically updated and the wireless connection went out. I registered my router and went to chat support on the Netgear website. They led me through a simple and easy fix of changing channels. I haven't had a problem since and now I am prepared the next time my iMac updates.

The product is great once you get it up and running. I had trouble initially getting it to work. I had to contact the customer service number, and it took about 1 hour to get it to work. Otherwise, it has worked fine since.

This router is durable and easy to set up. this router can handle up to 10 devices easily.

The netgear wifi works in every room in the house and even outside! The price is great too.
