I had bought a my cloud hard drive and what to set it up. so i pick this router up, hook it to my computer. Then ran the dash board program that came with it, and set the router up in less then 5 minutes.

The device is easy to configure and work well if you have newer wireless devices. Effort is required if you have older wireless devices that do not use the latest wireless protocols and do not support the higher 5 ghz frequency.

For a wireless router of its class, it has great value and great performance compared to all the other wireless routers that were available at the time I purchased this one. Overall, it is a good wireless router, with fairly decent security features, if you plan on using it personally for your home.

Used this in conjunction with a Powerline adapter to add a wireless network to a floor of my house that wasn't able to get reliable coverage with a WiFi extender. Works great, and lets me hook up my entertainment devices (Xbox, BluRay player), as well as get good wireless signal on my main floor.

For the price range and type of router it is it works as it is supposed to. The only problem I have had with the router is it slows down when more then two people are using it, or one person is downloading something large (ex. a computer program or a movie), but that can be blamed on the type/size of the router.The other problem that I have had is it doesn't always except password from a new computer unless you hit the wps button on the front of the router. I would recommend the router if only one or two people are using it at one time, and you don't need it to cover a large area. Otherwise get a more expensive router.

My father-in-law's router defaulted back to factory settings every month or two. Decided to replace his older router with this one. No problems and him and my mother-in-law are happy surfers now!

I set it up my self and I have no problems with it, if you do call the hotline they were very hlpful.

I purchased this because I kept getting disconnected from the internet. This new Netgear router has not solved my problem so maybe my need to reboot is not a router problem.

Really great product and very easy to use. One thing that made me bought this is because of Netgear's Genie where I can control parental control, traffic information and router's setting in the app on my iPhone! Well recommended!

I purchased this router to replace my cisco (the customer service that I myself received was non helpful (especially to someone not computer literate like me) This Netgear was a cinch to install and adding to my IPad was easy too. I would recommend to anyone who is NOT a computer wiz (Like Me)

I use a wired network and added this router for wireless capability for my smartphone. No problems installing the Net Gear router to one of my main router ports. The router has a short range but works fine inside my small house.

This router does exactly what it is supposed to. No more, no less. The signal works throughout the house, but during a storm or heavy clouds can be spotty.

Bought this for my wife's mother to support her new iPad. I pre-configured at at my house and installed it at her apartment with no problems. Worked great out-of-the box and provides strong signal. I liked it so much that I bought a 2nd one for my home to replace my aging D-Link wireless router.

Had to reset the modem a few times before the router started working, but the set up otherwise was simple and straightforward. Doesn't offer much customization but it's good for someone who just wants out of the box use.
