I was looking for something that was pretty lightweight and quiet, with good airspeeds and heat settings. The Dyson definitely has all those capabilities - the one thing I'm still trying to get used to (and is the reason for 4 stars vs. 5 stars) is the unexpected location of the cold shot button. I'm used to a trigger rather than where this is located. I'm hoping with continued use I will get used to how best to take advantage of this feature.

Super fast 5 minutes simple blow dry for long hair. Easy to store, gentle to my hair, great design, nice attachments. Best gift you can possibly make for yourself or someone you love. Totally a game changer.

She was hesitant about it when I brought it home to her but after using it, she really loves it. The benefits of this are really understated until you actually use this thing.

It feels faster than regular hair dryers and it is also less noisy in comparison. There are three levels of heat and three levels of fan speed. Very convenient overall. A little expensive but worth it in the end, especially if you use it every day and I expect it to last several years.

Fast for “thick” hair

She has “thick” hair which takes a lot of time to dry. My wife’s first experience brought a big smile and a “You DID GOOD!” Now, three weeks into use I can say this expensive hair dryer IS worth it. It is quiet. It is very powerful. It works remarkably well. And it makes my spouse happy. There is nothing more I could ask for! Best gift!

Not salon reliable

So I don’t recommend using this for work if you’re a hairstylist like me. The extended warranty is great cuz they gave me a new one which I only use it for home use now. The filter tend to accumulate so much hair and tends to overheat. For the high price I was expecting I could use it for work but not reliable.
