Its a great game for a Mario fan. The only thing i didnt like its that you have to play a few levels until you can save your game, if you die it takes you back to last save point and you have to play the levels all over again. I love Mario so i dont care!!

The Super Mario Bros have been at the pinnacle of platform games for decades and this game follows their established model very well. The animations, power suits, and level design all work together to produce an enjoyable experience for Mario fans. While it doesn’t necessarily break any new ground, it is a solid offering from a company that knows fun. Definitely play as a single player, but only do multiplayer if you’re not easily angered by your gaming buddies.

This was the Wii U's big launch game in 2012. I played through it then, along with New Super Luigi U expansion that followed later, and 100-percented both of them. They were equal parts fun and frustrating, due to Nintendo's pixel-perfect stage design and propensity for devious challenge. Nothing about this game exactly reinvents the Super Mario Bros. formula, but that's not a bad thing, because these games are always clever and fun, and knowing what you're in for makes it easy to jump right in and know exactly what you're doing. Re-playing this game seven years after its initial release, I still found myself unable to put it down until I'd completely finished it. The inclusion of the New Super Luigi U DLC gives you an extremely challenging experience to jump into once the core game is finished, its shorter but much more difficult levels always beckoning you back to try again after repeated failures. Competing this part of the game is a satisfying and cathartic experience. New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe may not be a necessary purchase for those who owned and played it for the Wii U, but it's still a solid game that has been given a second chance at life on the much more successful Switch, and that's a win for everybody. Having a version that you can take with you on the go is a definite added bonus, since it's a game that can easily be played in short bursts and lends itself well to the portable format.

As someone who did not play or buy the Wii U version. I have enjoyed this updated version of Mario very much. If you haven't played a Mario game before at times it can be frustrating to fail, but overall the game is made to be average difficulty. With Game Club the 20% off helps. But at $60 not sure if worth the price. Depends on how much you love Mario. Nintendo is making a lot of ports and charging full price. Feel only Nintendo can get away with that and be successful. Honestly it is what it is. Game works great and looks great. I do recommend if you have never bought or would like a game to play of the go which has short levels so you can play little by little on the go.

I’m practically a beginner when it comes to understanding video games and how to play them but this game is truly adventurous! It’s not as bad and my boyfriend and I get to play together as well. It was truly a good investment! Would recommend!

Its a mario bros game. Theres not much to not like. I bought it for my brother for his switch. He and I like to play and talk through videogames. It's a nice bonding experience. But its also again, a mario bros game. Sometimes the level design gets repetitive.

I bought this game for the wife as she was the one who wanted it desperately. I have to say it is a different kind of Mario. You can play two players at the same time, which is a pro and con at the same time. If the other person is not a good gamer then you will be frustrated by constantly dying. The story is pretty basic Bowser gets princess and you must rescue her. Gameplay is a combination of Super Mario Bros. 3 and Super Mario World. Overall if you like Mario you will like this game.

2d super Mario games sometimes feel a bit old school but this remake of the game is still a lot of fun. Granted, it isn’t a massive overhaul of the old game so that’s a bummer if you’ve already played the other one a ton but there’s enough here that it’s worth playing again. A nice touch is the ability to play as other characters that make the game easier as that lets younger kids experience it with less of the frustration.

The detail work in this game is great. I missed it on the Wii U as I skipped that platform. Getting to catch it on the Switch has been a real treat. Recommended for anyone who missed it the first time around.

First I will begin by saying the Best Buy on Joe Battle never disappoints with its excellent customer service. Thank you Mr Zamorra and David. Now to my review of fun time with the family... or as its called new super mario deluxe. The game transforms everyone in my family into their 12 year version. The Kid in us that doesn't worry about bills or chores.... only getting to the next level, one kuppa at a time. So yes. Buy this game. Also, I had more fun with this game than Super Mario Odyssy. Because you can play Co-Op for most (all the game modes). Just picture and your daughter, stomping kuppas and taking Bowser. Just know this is classic mario at its best. Side scrolling mayhem. Simple fun. Plenty of secrets for the perfectionist. But always fun for the whole family.

Bought this during the Mar10 sale after checking the reviews. It's a good Mario style game that allows for some variety in the characters you use, including a super-easy mode for the younger set (or those of us who aren't too good at platformer games). I haven't had a chance yet to try the co-op mode, but single-player has worked well so far. Only complaint is minor - it would be nice to get a description of what items are supposed to do for those who are unfamiliar with them.
