Game and graphivs are good but the type of gameplay was not for me. Is a high demand classic so was easy to recover back a good portion of what i paid.

New Super Mario Bros. U was a launch title on the Wii U in 2012, and although it moved many machines at the time, it was not enough to make the Wii U successful. It's great that Nintendo is experiencing much better results with the Switch console, and I'm thankful that NSMBUD will reach a wider audience now. As for the game itself, it's an HD, side-scrolling Mario platformer, just as you would expect. Worth a purchase if you love Mario and platform games in general.

Love this game! I grew up with the original Nintendo as a teenager in the early 90s, which I loved. I am not a huge fan of video games, but this one is very fun and brought me back...but, with better graphics! I bought the Switch for my son for Christmas, but he may have to fight me for it with this game. :) There seemed to be no glitches and the controls were easy to figure out. Definitely the best Mario to date!

Super Mario games always have a good nostalgia factor, but this one is a side scroller and reminiscent of the classic Mario games. A few new fun mechanics such as the flying squirrel suit.But easy to play and fun to do so with others. It's a nice way to spend some down time.

Super fun game to play. Some are hard but It brings back old memories

Got this game on mario day! Nice game to enjoy with family and friends. Also has added features from Luigi U which is plus. Has tips that help with younger kids that are playing. As well as guides if you get stuck on any map. They also added toadette and nibbit to the game.

Wish I got this game earlier .its kind of hard to be honest but playing with the whole family is fun

Really solid entry in the Mario series. Maintains all the fun of the classic side scrolling games while modernizing some of the visuals and adding many of the jump tricks that Mario gained in his full 3D games.

Our 10yo girls enjoy playing and the challenges you encounter on each level. Enjoy all the different characters.

This game is great. Go through all the levels on your own or with some friends with the multiplayer modes.

Having been away from Nintendo consoles for some time, I had only played Mario Odyssey upon getting my Switch a couple of years ago and was on the mood for some other Mario games. I was excited that they’re stilling making 2D/side scrolling Mario games, so picked this up when it was on sale. Overall, it’s impressive and amazing to see how far these games have come. The animation is of course very strong, but I feel like there hasn’t been a big leap in quality in the last couple of generations of Nintendo consoles. Also, I find some of the game choices weird on this one, like not being able to keep Yoshi for more than a level at a time, and the levels that you do find him in are pretty sporadic. I don’t know if it’s just me, but I do find some levels very needlessly frustrating as well.

It is taken the spot as a comfort game that my wife plays. When she is bored or needs a change of pace and doesn't want to commit to a big involved game like Baldur's Gate 3, she plays this or some old side scroller.

I was waiting on Super Mario Maker 2, but decided to get this game in the mean time as it was on sale. I find the game quite enjoyable to play in small intervals of approximately 15-30 minutes every other day or so. It seems like a pretty easy game overall, but as I haven't played a game like this in quite a while, I find it a bit challenging, and it is a little tedious to have to repeat the same section multiple times if I keep losing lives to the same obstacle.

I love this game! It brings me back to my childhood, pretty challenging which is awesome!

I mean what's to say, it's fun! Super colorful, difficulty isn't too over the top but well thought out. I do love the fact that you can change up characters, the difference in skills they all have. It's your typical Mario game with a bunch of twists that keep you on your toes through out the game I would definitely recommend to any person who wants to play an easy and fun game
