Exceptional Dash Cam, as well as Brand
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.NEXTBASE 320XR Small but versatile dash cam fits most sized Cars and SUVs’. The Rear Dash Cam is wired on this Model, The front Dash cam is about 3.5 x 1.5 inches but captures in High Resolution 1080/720p, with reasonable audio. I will not go over all the detailed specs that can be acquired online, but suffice to say this dash cam is a leap over most tech in all features. Instructions for installation are remarkably simple, I only had a few issues with the install of the rear dash cam, and an online tutorial is easy to follow with visuals and understand by anyone. For MY use other models with all the latest Tech features are available but this base unit suits my current needs, with 3 cars at home oldest being 2003, oldest driver 87 this Dash cam fits the bill. When Driving others, or local driving by Seniors the Parking Cam feature is a godsend for my Senior who counts dents and other rude issues, and could not deal with wireless devices, The Dash Cam is ultra portable and additional mounts will be forthcoming for me no doubt, however with FRONT and REAR Recording as well as parking you got it all. As I said Nextbase has the latest and greatest Techs on there devices should you desire it. Having experience with hidden B/W Auto Dash cams, Engine Cams and spy Cams I was Blown away by the new tech, size and quality of this CAM. The 320Xr comes with a built in Lithium battery that can operate alone or a kit to hook it up to your car Battery (w/o dead drain) and/or other power which add a multi-purpose spin on this device. The Unit comes with a Car lighter charger and powered USB cord for computer and/or other USB devices, it’s set to capture 1-3 minutes of HD MP4 Video at 1080p 30 and can even fit behind a Windshield based GPS. There are some downsides to the rear Dash cam. The size and weight of the cabling during installation is an issue the weight of the cable can drag down the rear Dash cam. The Magnetic Coupling is excellent for Both the Front and Rear cams making attachment and removal fairly simple Last but certainly not least is the Nextbase Software for this device, easy to install once downloaded it runs like a professional program has a Gps interface and allows you to merge/edit clips. These Clips are 1080p 30 fps download a movie quality as mentioned and can capture a rather decent amount of a road trip based on the quality settings (720p available) and the size of your microSD card, 32G Card at 1080 gets you about 20 - 30 minutes (with parking?). Cerr The Camera does NEED a fast “Micro U3 Sd card” (Which Nextbase sells) the size determines the max length or recording But more importantly the functionality of the Dash cam, an interesting complication I found, A xxxx “Ultra Plus” Micro Sd from a Phones/ Tablet is inappropriate (Christmas I could not wait to play with my new toy) As for functionality review the videos I may have uploaded, please be aware I listen to LOUD music in my car the audio is good but not beyond reasonable limit.
