I have a strong opinion that everyone should have a dash cam. I have had one for over 3 years now, and while I have been lucky enough to not have been in an accident, there have been way too many close calls. I've liked being able to capture those to review the incident later. It was also helpful to show our son (who recently got his license) what to look for to avoid an accident if ever in the same situations. In order for him to have a dash cam in his vehicle, I started to look for a new one for mine. I decided to go with the Nextbase 320XR Dash Cam. The 320XR has a similar design as the previous models, including the Click & Go Pro powered mount and a 2.5" HD IPS screen. On the other hand, It does not have a touchscreen (has buttons along the edges, which can actually make using them easier without having to look at what you are trying to press quickly), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or GPS. It does seem to be the first model from Nextbase that includes the Rear camera. Be sure to check the microSD card specs that will be used, as it will need to be U3 in order to use the rear camera. Otherwise, it just needs to be a Class 10. It comes with not just an extra mounting adhesive pad, but a full pad mount (which the Click&Go mount attaches to), which will allow having a pad mount in two vehicles, and can switch the Click&Go Pro mount and camera between the vehicles as necessary. Both the front and rear cameras have 140º Wide Angle lenses, and the do produce nice videos. The rear camera will automatically use the recording resolution of the front camera (either 1080p or 720p, both at 30fps). And I like that the rear does record in HD Or FHD as my other only records in VGA (640x480) which really doesn't get much of the details (but at least I could see what was happening). One thing it seems to handle better than my other dash cam is when driving in the direction of the sun. There isn't as much glare and can still the other vehicles and surroundings clearly. Night videos are decent for the front (with the lighting from the headlights), but rear one was grainy with not much lighting (which was not unexpected). The design of the Nextbase rear camera seems a little bulky (at least compared to my other dash cam and other dash cams I've researched), but I do like the magnetic mount, which is very strong. It definitely won't be moving very easily once it is set at the correct angle, especially when mounted on a hatchback/liftgate. The rear camera on my other just has a poorly designed hinge on top, and doesn't stay put very well (I ended up using tape to hold it in place). It does have the Intelligent Parking Mode, where it will record a 30 second video if it detects physical movement of the vehicle, and will go back into standby after 5 minutes of no additional movement. It is recommended by Nextbase to install a hard-wire kit if using the parking mode as it will turn of the parking mode when the battery is drained to 11.2V. So far, I think this is a great dash cam, with the features that are included and the particular package (with it including the rear camera). Now if I can just finally talk my wife to install one in her vehicle….

Good kit for the value, mounting is nice and sticky, doesn't seem like it'll ever come off unless you use the included scraper. Rear camera being magnetic is nice, allows for different orientations/angles according to your rear window. No extra connectivity (bluetooth/wifi/GPS) is odd for a 2021 release, but as long as you know what you're getting, its very useful and a good overall basic F/R dash camera system.

Front camera works well and I love the parking feature! You can lock your files as well so you know your footage is secure. Only downside is my back camera footage goes purple. It looks as if you added a purple video effect. It happened pretty quickly after I purchased the camera.

I’ve come to really like the products I’ve received from Nextbase and this is my third dash cam from them. I own the 622GW, 522GW and now this one. I tried not to compare the other two units to this one because it’s more of an entry level camera but it’s also nice that it came with a rear camera. As I said, this is more of an entry level model but it works well. To review it, I removed the 622GW out of my daily driver and installed this one. It’s definitely lacking the 4K, option to use different cameras and the polar filter but it’s a decent little camera at this price point. I would recommend it based on past dealings with their customer service, which is A-1 and the quality of their products. In this day and age, it definitely doesn’t hurt to have a dash cam and this one is a good model to start with.

Took a little while to get this installed, but that's my fault. Definitely have professionals do it, I tried an amateur and it's just worth the money and the insurance that comes with a professional to get it done. It records everything in front of me and behind me. I was pulled over with it and it actually worked as a deterrent as well. Not sure what state you're living in but in Florida. Make sure and tell them that you have a dash cam and it's being recording. Other than being a deterrent for a possibly horrible interaction with law enforcement, it also serves as a really good "what street was I on scenario" especially if you didn't put the place in your GPS. Not only that, the dash cam has solved a few. I bet you that car was blue. No I bet you it was black argument. From the simplest thing to the coolest thing and everything in between this dash. Cam is amazing. Does a really good job of creating a perfect field of view. I can see around me in front of me behind me beside me and I can actually set it to record when I'm in the house. I have looters in my neighborhood. Definitely get your hands on this.

Cam is good but you need to purchase the hard wire separately.

Thought it was good fir the price. Turned out, not so much. Installation was easy. Front camera worked and recorded ok Rear camera was recording but had no video. Customer service had me on hold 3 times for over an hour, then I received automated response saying “No one available to take your call, leave a message “ I left 3 messages, never got a call back.

Would be perfect if it comes with SD card , when you buy for first time I did know anything about that and I purchased 2 that didn’t fit my camera

If you're intent is to have a recording device(s?) in your vehicle, then keep reading on. If you're simply looking for an after market backup camera option, this isn't the product for you. There's no current way to default the back camera view as the main view (in fact it's like 3 button pushes to get there every time you start your vehicle). The screen, while pretty good resolution, is just too small unless you've got exceptional eye sight, and again the front and rear view share that view unless you click the power button a few times. Installation was not as bad as I thought it would be, with fairly minimal exposed cords (in my opinion anyway) in my older model Toyota Rav 4. I do wish the back camera cable had another foot of length - once I got everything taught in the front, by the time I got to the back I had to make some 'interesting' choices to allow the camera to reach the middle of the back window, while having enough slack to completely open the rear door. I don't see how this could possibly work in a longer vehicle. You will need to connect to the camera stands to glass. The 3M sticky pads don't seem to really adhere to much else. The camera connections though magnetic, and pretty solid once you get a camera into position. This could have potentially been a big failure in this products installation. Instead you get a solid connection for which you can still remove both cameras without tools when needed.

I've only been using this a few days, but, so far it's been great. It was pretty easy to set up (useless directions but not too complicated to figure out regardless ) and really simple to use. Just press a button and it starts recording, or you can have it set up so that it starts recording when you turn the car on. I specifically wanted a camera that also had a rear camera and this works well because there's a small window within the main (front view) screen that shows the rear view recording.

I bought this for my granddaughter. She installed with a friend. She said it was very easy. She loves it.

The picture quality is good for a dash cam but the instructions for how to use suck. I plugged in my rear view not know it wasnt recording and every time I disconnect and reconnect it; it doesnt work.

already saved me from a ticket. cops dont like when you prove them wrong

Geek squad did a good job installing. Everything working great but literally 2 hours after install the rear camera turned pink, i would hate to have to return it and reinstall a different one. Very frustrating such a brand new item faults so quick. I saw 2 other comments talking about their rear camera turning pink as well, I just assumed they got unlucky with bad hardware which is most likely not the case

Only reason I gave it a 3 star because the camera always shows low battery. Even after keeping it connected all the time.
