Nice little cam

Only complaint is it has no app compatibility and you have to constantly remove the memory card and read it on a PC if you want to review your videos. However, it does have loop recording so it keeps recording over your old videos.

I bought it for my new drivers car so that if anything were to happen he has back up. Hopefully we dont ever need it though

Just charge it... before plugging it in?

Had I known that you had to charge it (two hours before each use) before plugging it into the car, I wouldn't have bought it for ten bucks. It goes to low battery LONG before the end of the day, rendering it useless. And that's without even adding the rear camera to the mix. I should have returned it, but I waited too long to install it. eBay it is, I guess...

We're truly sorry to hear about this negative experience with your 320XR camera.
Our Dash Cams have a very small battery inside them, which is designed to be of use in an emergency situation, such as loss of power during an incident.
Our cameras are designed to be used with a constant power supply either by the 12V power cable or using a Nextbase Hard Wire Kit (the USB cable is not meant for powering the Dash Cam in the car).
I'm afraid they're not designed to be used without a constant powering source.

Decent camera

I forget it’s there, because it doesn’t cause any site interference. Geek squad installed it so they were able to put it in an inconspicuous place, both front and rear, obviously knowing what they were doing. They did a good job!

Small but wothwhile.

A plus as it doesn't create a distraction while driving but a minus as the small screen is difficult to read. The rear camera is a bonus feature as most cameras don't have a rear option, nice to record both directions.

Thank you for your review, we would recommend using the settings on the camera to select 1080p @ 30fps. With the Rear Window Camera attached, you will be able to choose between 1080P or 720P recording for the Dash Cam; the resolution of the attached Rear Window Camera is dictated by the chosen resolution of the front Dash Cam and cannot be altered independently, the two resolutions are linked together to ensure maximum performance. With the Rear Facing Camera attached, you will not be able to record at 60FPS.
I'd recommend viewing your rear camera footage back using the MyNextbase Player computer app, which can be downloaded from the Nextbase website.

Nextbase 320xr dash cam good review

But in the end it was all worth it

My dashcam

This was was not expensive, had a rear dash cam, will save the video if I'm ever in an accident or someone hits my parked car and decided to purchase it. I had Best Buy install it and they did a great job on the instal. My only negative is the app not having my camera model as an option to view the video, which seems to be a common complaint. I haven’t contacted the company at this time but haven’t felt the need to view any footage at this time.
