Just charge it... before plugging it in?

Had I known that you had to charge it (two hours before each use) before plugging it into the car, I wouldn't have bought it for ten bucks. It goes to low battery LONG before the end of the day, rendering it useless. And that's without even adding the rear camera to the mix. I should have returned it, but I waited too long to install it. eBay it is, I guess...

We're truly sorry to hear about this negative experience with your 320XR camera.
Our Dash Cams have a very small battery inside them, which is designed to be of use in an emergency situation, such as loss of power during an incident.
Our cameras are designed to be used with a constant power supply either by the 12V power cable or using a Nextbase Hard Wire Kit (the USB cable is not meant for powering the Dash Cam in the car).
I'm afraid they're not designed to be used without a constant powering source.

Dash cam review of seller and installers

However, the installers were not completely user friendly. The supervisor was a little rude. There was a window Ste where I could enter from the store. He made me w as Ll all the way around when it was hot outside and they were not busy. The person who helped me, Christian was ver knowledgeable. But I had to slow him down. I am not tech savvy. I needed him to explain slowly and clearly. He gave me a phone number for their shop yo call if I had questions. I did not and left a messsge. They did not extend the courtesy of returning the call.

This model does not have compatibility with the app interface. Note that you will need a fast SD card like the one noted in the box, which is not included. Another thing you should keep in mind: if you won't be driving your car for two weeks or so, disconnect the camera, as it could drain your battery, The camera activates and starts recording when it detects movement.

Great camera but the app needs improvement

I actually put them in all my vehicles (my wife’s, the kids) so that if something happens, there is proof of whose fault it is. The only complaint I have is that I wanted this one specifically for being able to connect the camera to the app and download video rather than pulling the card and transferring on the computer and that is the one thing that doesn’t work too well on it.

Poor rating on product installation-Conroe, TX

The product itself performs very well and meets my expectations in terms of quality and reliability. However, the installation experience can make a big difference. I recommend ensuring that the installers are both competent and friendly, as professional installation is key to getting the most out of the product. During my installation, I was informed that the Automatic Incident Detection feature would not work if the unit was hard-wired to the ignition. This was disappointing, as it limits a feature that many customers may expect to function regardless of installation method. While I remain satisfied with the product overall, I believe Best Buy management in Conroe, TX could improve by making sure installers are well-trained on product features and provide clear, accurate guidance during installation-they rude, short, and attempt to verbal overpower any discussion or comment. Better communication and technical knowledge would help ensure customers receive the full benefit of the products they purchase. Having said that, I will find another installer in the future. Stay away from installation at Conroe, Tx location.
