This is worth the extra. We own the 522 model and have been pleased with it. The 622 is not a let down. There are a lot of choices in dash cams but, NextBase really performs.

Had this for over a week now. Easy setup, ran the cables along my cars edging to hide them. Connected to the app easily. Will update if I have any issues but so far everything is running as promised!

I am very disappointed with this product. It simply is unreliable and difficult to use. I've had a couple of incidents where I went to look for the clips, but they weren't recorded. also doesn't work with apple carplay. When I purchased the unit, they published a customer service number. When I called for help, the number was disconnected. the number is still listed on their website.

I feel like I could've gotten a better product for less price. I've had issues with voice control being spotty (multiple phones [Android 10 and 11, iOS14.x] cleared data, uninstalled and reinstalled Alexa and nextbase app), battery lasted almost a year, the wired cable no longer wants to charge my camera (checked fuse and no bad fuses), but the 12v adapter does. Also, camera doesn't always turn/stay on (parking mode is off. I made sure I never turned it on because in traffic it would turn my camera off). I told support about all the issues, and only thing they gave back was that SanDisk memory cards are not supported and I would need to buy one of theirs. However it has been in there since I bought it, and hadn't started till more recently. I think this is my first and last time trying nextbase. I will say a couple pros: Camera filter is nice. App is nice in principal to download videos to your phone (apparently if you use their memory card it won't shut off)

Too many issues with this camera, I returned the first one for issues and still having issues with the second one, screen issues on the second one

This item is not worth $400 it just worth $20-$40. Picture quality is good, but didn't last more than 4hours of recording. Just got hung continuously and never recovered for more than 1-2seconds. I will be returning for refund as soon as I finish my vacation

Camera works great. When it works. The software and iPhone app are so buggy I had to return it. It would randomly sync to my phone. Neve could get the live feed to work. The companies customer support told me it was a known issue with this model and they were trying to solve it. For the price I paid, that’s unacceptable.

I have an older model Nextbase 422w camera & i always thought it took great video but had a few things that could’ve been improved on, apparently those issues are still present with this camera, you can’t watch video on the camera without it being connected, not even a few minutes like on the older model. I can’t have my iPhone & iPad connected at the same time, I must delete one to watch video on the other. It needed a firmware update which took forever & I still find the micro sd card hard to push in when you have medium length fingernails. Those were basically the same issues, now for the things I like about it.. very stable, clear, night vision was great in town & not bad on back road either, didn’t notice anything outstanding about it in fog & it’s been quite foggy lately but couldn’t really see anything clearer in the videos. Alexa paired easily with it, set up was quick, found the camera instantly, I could use the same app & the suction cup car mount was the same but the magnet is strong so to remove the camera I kept pulling the whole thing off the windshield. This camera is a bit larger & has about a 3” screen, a rear camera can be purchased separately. Comes with a 64gb sd card & adapter. It automatically set the date & sensitivity can be set which is great because it monitors the car while you’re parked. There is an SOS feature & this camera doesn’t get as hot while recording. I could play back the videos on my phone & delete them & each video comes with a Google map with a pointer that moves on the route you took as it plays. It’s a great camera with clear recordings & just a few minor issues.

The quality of the video was great and it worked with no problems for a few days. But sure enough, it would boot up and then immediately freeze as I had heard in other reviews. I tried all the trouble shooting methods and the problems still continued. Try something else.

Expensive compared to all other brands, but so far the quality and features of this product make the price point worth it. Outstanding camera setup options.

Love the 4K quality but if you don't have the right Sd card in it it will freeze On you on every start up I've noticed.

This dash cam is worth every penny spent. Definitely expensive but totally worth it. It has amazing audio and video recordings. Never had a dash cam that worked this amazing.

Quality is a plus. It's a little complicated to install the cables under my dashboard but i made it work. The only down side is i didnt know it had to be connected all the time to the cigarette connection.

Its 4K ultra high resolution record function will not miss any detail, even include license plate number. I like it.

Amazing performance with a few caveats. Resolution isn't quite as good as expected (motion, low light and rear view camera as examples). But overall, a great product that would have been key evidence when I was rear-ended by a distracted driver who then had the gall to claim I was at fault. Mounting magnet is too strong, a quick-release lever would be better to avoid having to re-aim the camera for each use. Too expensive to leave in the car, so removing daily becomes a chore. That being said, I have to state it is the best, most user friendly, most versatile dashcam on the market - bar none!

I love it I bought one for my husband. I got in love with it so I got one for me too. It’s the best I recommend it
