    freeze on me and gets super hot

    i wish if i cant give it no stars dont waste your money on bad products with hefty price this is one of the worst cam ever and keeps freeze on me and gets super hot from the second day i bought it and i returning it the second day.. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

      Hello,

      SD cards only have limited lifespans. In our manuals we recommend formatting every 2-3 weeks to prolong the life of the card. Without this regular formatting, or if the card is non-compatible or damaged, the card could corrupt which would cause a failure of data writing.
      Symptoms of SD card failure are: an audible 'alarm' tone, non-functional buttons, freezing, corrupted files on playback, image missing from files, lack of file recording etc.

      From the issues that you have described it is very likely that you are having an SD card failure. Please contact our Support Team at support@nextbase.com and we can help you to investigate further.

    Unreliable. Waste of money.

    Worked consistently for about a month but now camera does not stay charged or stay on. Wasted money on higher GB SD card but still does not record properly. Waste of $400+ as it does not reliable stay on

    Will be returning, great quality and I like the fact that it records audio while driving, just keep shutting off in my car which is auto shut off at the light

      It sounds like your vehicle was turning off the power to the dashcam when your car stop/started. The best way to resolve this is to fit a Nextbase hard wire kit on a permanently live fuse and then enable Parking Mode on the dashcam.

    Stabilization is good, but it was advertised as being able to record in low light. What they don’t tell you is that it’s only the forward camera, The inside facing camera does a poor job in low light. I purchased the camera as a safety measure for driving Lyft. If it doesn’t show details inside the car at night, the value is greatly lessened

    Has great options and features but sadly decided to not install it and retired it. It was a gift but the person didn’t want to risk breaking anything in their car.

    Excellent dash cam. Captures HD video and turns on automatically when it detects motion. The app gets the footage to my phone with ease!

    What a waste of money! I bought the 622GW thinking it would be a quality dashcam. Nope. Not 6 months of having it, it died. No power, no lights, nothing - dead. Since it was under warranty, I had it replaced by BB. The same thing happened. But since I already exchanged one, BB wouldn't let me exchange or refund the second defective dashcam. $400 wasted.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Bought this dash camera right before a road trip and it took a ridiculous amount of time to set up and get synced with the app. Once it was set up it had a nice picture on the screen and record and playback was easy, however, mounted and plugged into the car was a different story. The first night I tried to check the footage, 56 gbs of data recorded but it was all black. Static noise and shoving could be heard but absolutely no picture. Not sure what happened but have yet to figure it out. Since I was on a 2 week road trip by the time I got home I could no longer return it.

    We love them. After purchasing our first one from Best Buy last year (the previous model); we decided to purchase the newest model for our daughter’s new car. They work great. We are planning on buying a 3rd one for a Christmas gift later this year. They are excellent.
