Get the Nextbase card

Not what it seems

I am disappointed that it can't use a cabin camera and a rear view camera at the same time. The recirding resolution drops from 4K to 1440 using two cameras too. You have a honking lense tube as it is, make the camera more bulky and add some extra processing power in the space around the lens.

Don'yt buy Nextbase

Nexbase does not answer their phones. Terrible product support from manuufacturer. Touch screen no longer works. Unit will no longer charge. Sent email explaining in detail. They sent back troubleshooting info which I already had tried.

I don't recommend buying the Nextbase 622GW

At first, the Nextbase 622GW seemed like a great camera so I bought the matching rear camera and wiring harness to go with it. But after about 4 months it just kept overheating sooo much to the point I was afraid to use it for fear I was going to find my vehicle burned to the ground. I tried every combination of settings to try and alleviate the problem but nothing worked so I contacted Nextbase customer service about the issue and they did agree to send me another unit to replace my problematic dash cam. So, after 1 month with the replacement camera now I have a camera that won't shut off, now if I get the camera to turn on it now won't shut off at the end of my ride and I have to disconnect the camera and let the battery run down until it turns off. I'm done with this camera and done with Nextbase, it takes a lot for me to give a bad rating about a product, and because of this experience, I am giving Nextbase 622GW a BIG thumbs down.

Thank you for taking the time to leave your review, I am sorry to hear that you had an issue with your first 622GW. For the replacement it sounds like your hard wire kit is on a permanently live fuse. To turn the camera off you need to enable Parking Mode. Here's how to do this:
1) Turn the Dash Cam on
2) Stop it recording (by pressing the red circle)
3) Go into Settings (the button in the top left)
4) Go into Setup settings
5) Scroll across to ‘Parking Mode’
6) Enable Parking Mode here
