Intrusive ad glitchy programming and power button

Gets random glitches work keeps beeping until you turn it off. Emailed him because the power button wasn’t even working to turn it off how to remove the entire power source but didn’t get any assistance. Now every time I use it there’s an ad that comes up trying to get me to subscribe to their stupid service

Posted .Hi Kevin, if you are looking for a refund, it appears that you have purchased this from Best Buy and would need to adhere to their return/refund policy (30 days) as Nextbase does not have access to refund your original payment. If you are looking for a warranty replacement, please let me know your support ticket number, I will escalate, and we will get you a warranty replacement asap!

Freezing often while driving, not as expected

SD cards only have limited lifespans. In our manuals we recommend formatting every 2-3 weeks to prolong the life of the card. Without this regular formatting, or if the card is non-compatible or damaged, the card could corrupt which would cause a failure of data writing.
Symptoms of SD card failure are: an audible 'alarm' tone, non-functional buttons, freezing, corrupted files on playback, image missing from files, lack of file recording etc.
We would recommend checking that the SD card that you are using is compatible and is regularly formatted. We always recommend using a Nextbase SD card in a Nextbase dashcam.

Heats up when recording in 4k

I fear it would damage the sd card inside with the heat. I couldnt even touch it for a minute after unplugging it. A firmware update is needed to solve this issue. Nevertheless i returned it and bought the 522gw

All of our cameras are tested between -20'C (-4F) to +45'C (113'F), although if the car temperature exceeds this you could potentially experience issues. We'd recommend removing the Dash Cam and placing in the glove compartment when the Dash Cam is not in use to prevent it being unnecessarily heated on the windscreen. When storing the Dash Cam for an extended time period, store within the following temperature range: from 0° to 25°C (from 32° to 77°F).
Under the mount is a heat sync, so this is the part of the camera that will get warmest. It's nothing to worry about, they're designed to cope with the heat they produce.
However excess heat can be caused by a failed SD card. Please ensure you're using a suitable Nextbase SD card in your camera.

Poor Build quality and design

However, the design is poor. If you are using the 12v and the supplied suction cup adapters the two hit each other. These leaves you limited on the angle, causing the camera to angle up. Also after six months the secution cup has ripped and camera is useless.

You're using the wrong port on the camera for power. When in the car, please ensure the cable is plugged into the GPS MOUNT and NOT directly into the top of the camera as this will hit the mount.

Protection for Your Vehicle

Nothing But Trouble!

After three days of use the screen went dark. I'm using a Nextbase 128 micro SD card. So the SD card is not to blame. I did a reset and the screen came back up. Now, the settings Icon (gear on camera's screen) does absolutely nothing, whether the camera is in recording mode or not, and the camera's blue tooth icon went gray. Now, the camera will no longer communicate with my smartphone. So, now I have no way of getting into the camera's settings. Doing multiple resets did nothing to solve these issues. Read the most recent reviews, and believe the negative reviews. I wish I did!
