Nice unit with one flaw

I have 2025 vehicle that has wifi connection tuo my phone. The dash camera won't connect to my phone unless i turn off the car wifi. Once i do, then i can access the dash camer and review m y recordings.

Car cam.

No USB connecters. Only connectors to the fuse box, or former cigarette lighter sockets. Car dealer was leery of me connecting to the computer.

The 2nd one worn except I cant figure out how tobhave the map display on the app, not a big issue. Though thd battery died on the 2nd one and then their was issue of the camera freezing up, randomly stops recording, or randomly starts loosing power and rebooting. All this happen right around when the 1 year warrenty was up. Lucky i had the extended warrenty through best buy and was able to get a new unit. Hopefully I was judt unlucky and third times a charm.

Great quality dashcam

App is annoying to connect to if you have android auto that creates its own wifi network. I have yet to actually need to pull a file off the camera, so I'm not sure how difficult that process is.

App deserves negative stars

The quality of his video was excellent, these seem to be less quality video. maybe due to a software update. I updated mine to the latest software before using them so I can not verify the reason for the lower quality video, seems to be a lot of artifacts in the video on mine. The app is terrible, read up on that before you buy. Seem expensive for what they are. The app will not work if anything else on your phone uses a Wi Fi connection, like android auto. I can't understand why there is no option to use the app on Blue Tooth only. I only got the phone to connect once and gave up. I am very good with technology, it's not me.

|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This Nextbase 622GW dash cam bundle includes a forward-facing camera, rear window camera, hardwire kit, and SD card. Everything I needed to get up and running, all in one box. Very convenient. The main camera has an intuitive touch screen interface, and a quick-disconnect windshield mount. The rear camera includes a cable that was long enough to reach between the main camera and rear windshield of my medium sized SUV with enough slack to tuck the cable behind some molding. Both cameras were relatively easy to set up and everything needed for either hardwire or cigarette lighter power were included in the box, even some wipes to clean the glass before attaching the adhesive. The hardwire kit includes fuse taps of various sizes and helpful instructions, and there’s even a spare adhesive plate in case you need to move the camera mount to another vehicle, replace the windshield, etc. The technical features of the 622GW are great – high quality 4K video recording, effective image stabilization, and built-in GPS for including speed and location overlayed on the video. The app is a little bit clunky and sometimes required two attempts to connect to the camera, at least on my Android phone, but it’s easy enough to update the settings and transfer video files from the 622GW. Some potential drawbacks: The power/data port on the camera is mini-USB, which seems generations behind other devices these days that have moved to USB-C, or at least micro-USB. I’m glad there was a mini-USB cord in the box, because I haven’t had one in years. This is only relevant if you’re plugging the camera in at home, as it uses its own magnetic quick-disconnect mount in the car. Unfortunately, the rear camera plugs directly into the main camera, rather than the mount, so as soon as you plug it in, you lose quick-disconnect capabilities. Finally, it seems weird to only include a 32 GB SD card in the bundle. The camera takes 4K videos, which take up quite a bit of space. I would have liked to have 64 GB just to be able to store more footage. These are more weird quirks than dealbreakers for me. Overall, I’m happy with the 622GW and would recommend it to others.
