Its a good camara and very easy to use. I am using it to record my Uber driver to protect my passengers.

Very disappointed with this camera, I had bought 3 522 cameras for family last year. My family loved the cameras and had no problem with them. So when i needed to replace my older dash camera in my car i figured the 622 4K was a good option. But i had problems with it locking up from the start. After emails with customer support. It turns out you have to use a next base sd card to keep the unit working flawlessly. The 3 I bought for family last year I had bought the Brand sd cards with them due to a deal Best buy had going on. For the price of this camera it really should include a Next base sd card with it. It would keep customers happy right out of the box and not have to deal with problems and possibly returning the units.

It says to charge for at least 2 hours before connecting but i went straight for it and hooked it up.. At first I was having issues trying to connect the rear camera to the front camera after fiddling with the connectors the rear video finally showed on screen but only after twisting the wire a couple of times to secure the connection between the two cameras. After all that the camera started to work great but another problem came up..I'm using an 128gb memory card and supposedly its suppose to do loop recording but for some reason my camera will freeze after it reaches the limit. Again after messing with the device and formatting the flash card it started recording again had to do that every couple of days so it wouldn't freeze...but afterwards I'm not sure which setting I did but now its doing what it suppose to do and records continuously with loop recording and parking record with out freezing been a month since the issues and so far haven't come across any other issues nor has the previous issues came back. Overall, after all that hassle the camera is doing its job and recording. The video quality is clear even in 1080p..4K is really not needed but its there if you want. The app is a bit iffy in which takes a while to connect to the device but once it does you can view your recorded videos and choose which to keep if needed and download it directly to your phone. One of the downside to it is that you must be within range in order to connect or even watch a live feed. Would be great if I can actually monitor it from anywhere using the WiFi I have in the car but unfortunately the device only uses the WiFi to connect to mobile devices not data/internet.

The camera works amazing. It’s pretty much a set and forget. The installation process is very easy and once it set up, it’ll do all the work you need automatically without having to think about it. also, the video quality is really good. I recommend this camera 10 out of 10.

I like the clarity (4K) and features on this camera so much I bought two of them. One for each car. I like the feature that will let you keep the camera on even when you are parked. The camera charges of the car’s battery but if it detects the car’s battery going below 12 Volts, it shuts itself off. I had Best Buy put it on a toggle switch for me however so I can turn it off manually while in the garage as I don’t need it recording in the garage.

This is a very capable dashcam, especially when the optional rear-facing camera is plugged in: it snaps onto the side of the main cam. Lots of resolution and frame rate options, and the 4K front-facing video is quite good. It's a little shaky (in a track car with no suspension movement) but steady in a car with reasonable suspension. The UI is good once you get used to the relatively slow touch screen response (this isn't a smartphone). The companion desktop application is fairly well-featured too.

After getting in an accident where a dashcam would've proved useful, I immediately decided to get one. After some research, I landed on this one from Nextbase. I also got the Rear Dashcam. It was installed by Best Buy. Everything seemed fine until I decided to setup the app. I had to do a firmware update and that went well. When I started downloading videos to my phone, the camera froze. I couldn't do anything to fix it. After looking online I found out that pressing the reset button would restart it. It worked, but it was a pain, because it's one of those pinhole buttons you can't press with your fingers - you need something small enough to fit in a pinhole. If I didn't have something like that handy I would've been out of luck until I got home. Not really what you need in an on the go situation. After this experience, I read online, that there were tons of people complaining about this problem, and that there was no real fix in place yet. Not only that, but there are overheating issues as well. I had this problem too when downloading videos. The camera was really hot to the touch - and it was cold outside (upper 30s F) . I can't imagine what this would be like when it's 90 degrees F. The fix apparently is to buy a Nextbase SD card, which is significantly more expensive than a generic one. Some online stories say this didn't solve the overheating problem either. All of this is annoying. I can't even say how well the video quality is because I can't get the app to work well enough to download and view videos because the camera freezes. I don't really want to deal with all of this when I've had to spend 500+ bucks for a setup. I would not recommend this camera.

My only complaint about this dash cam is the battery. It is under warranty for 6 months, but it won't make it. I tried modifying my cams to accept an external battery, but I smoked one of them by my own stupidity. I will still but another one since the mod was a succes on the other, and I know what my to do if I face this issue with batteries in the future.

The software sucks. The App won’t open, then when it does, it can’t find the videos on the camera. I can play them on the camera, but the app can’t find them. Also it overheats quite badly and I had to take it out of the car for 4 months because it couldn’t handle the Arizona heat. I bought this dashcam, the rear view cam, the interior cam, and paid Best Buy to install. It wasn’t cheap. Note you cannot use the interior rear camera for the cabin and the rear camera out the back. You can only have one or the other plugged in. Despite the reasonably good video quality, this wasn’t worth the price. It was the most expensive camera they had, I expected top notch performance. You cannot make out license plates with this camera despite the good video quality. This should be simple to use. I’m incredibly disappointed it’s just so difficult.

This is a great camera don't get me wrong, I'm only giving it 3 stars because of both the desktop app and phone app do not work as intended. When I was hit, the app crashed and I couldn't pull up the video for the officers. When I pulled it up on the desktop, the footage was clear but the camera didn't stabilize fast enough to get a plate. It's a good cameras, I will continue using it, but the apps need some work.

This is my 4th dash cam, but my first with Nextbase. The detail on this camera is fantastic. So far, no issues. Highly recommend this camera. Would love to see this for about $50-$100 cheaper, but for now, the price was worth the quality of the video it puts out.

Easy to install and use. Fantastic picture quality. Hopefully I will never need video proof that it was the other driver's fault, but should I, I feel confident that this camera will provide me with the necessary video footage.

The big difference between this model and others is the screen on the camera, the ability to download video to your phone (via app), and hardwire capabilities (via kit), as well as video quality. The first camera I bought as a gift for my in-law. They like it and it’s easy for them to use without sacrificing anything. After that experience, I bought one for myself.

The dash cam worked good and the image stabilization was top notch. The functions for working with the camera could be awkward when trying to change zoom settings or to reconnect access to the phone app. I would buy again though.

I really like this dashcam for one reason, it actually works, the last one i had only lasted a month, the only thing I could give a negative is the App is a bit hard to connect to most of the time, but other than that it works like it's supposed to.

This camera works great, the Arizona heat did kill one of them though and it needed to be replaced. If you live in the south I would either buy something else or keep your car in covered parking. Either that or have total tech protection like I did
