As dash cams go, this Nextbase 320XR is pretty basic, but I think that's the point. Setup is no different than about 90% of the dash cams on the market. Mine is installed in a Ram 1500 Big Horn. Installing and formatting the sim card was done without a hiccup. While the included instructions are trash, assembling the front and rear camera is pretty straightforward. There is plenty of cord to effectively be hidden during installation for both the front and rear. This is powered by a cigarette plug. I really wish this had an extra USB-A or -C port built into the plug, as it takes away the ability to power another device. Probably the biggest miss is the lack of Bluetooth and app integration. This means that you have to remove the sim card and view the files on a computer instead of directly in the app. This is a huge pain. Video quality is clear and clean from both cameras. Due to the small screen it is difficult to see what is being recorded in real time though. Night driving and rain presence also yield pretty nice video quality. I have seen where some have had difficulty with the rear camera being detected during installation. I did not experience this at all. I have had no issues with connectivity or overall performance. When I start my vehicle the device powers on and begins recording front and rear. The cameras stay in place, with no movement even when driving over rougher terrain. As my review title states - there's nothing really special about this dash cam, but it does function as advertised. It's a small device that provides clear, color video in 1080p and has easy installation. I don't think I would recommend this to a friend though, as you can find similar devices with Bluetooth and app integration for similar cost.

Returned to store , could not use as needed .Good product, but, it needs a cell phone which I do not have or use.

Mostly bought this because of the price and the fact that it was a front and rear view camera and that it was on sale

More parts than I wanted or thought it was. Not yet placed in car as deciding if it's worth the effort or extra cost

We’ve been using the Nextbase 320XR front and rear dash cam for a while now, and honestly, it’s been a great little addition to our car. As a married couple in our 50s, we wanted something simple, reliable, and not overly techy—and this fit the bill perfectly. Setup was straightforward, and having both front and rear cameras gives us real peace of mind, especially when parking or driving in busy areas. We like having the reassurance that if we are in an accident or witness one we can have video evidence of the facts of what happened to share with authorities. So far, we have had a reason to download specific driving videos -yay! The video quality is clear enough to easily read license plates, and the 32GB microSD card included was a nice bonus so we could start using it right away. We like that it just quietly does its job in the background without needing constant fiddling. Overall, it feels well made, easy to use, and reassuring to have on every trip, whether it’s a long drive or a quick run to the shops.
