A Great No Frills Dual Camera Dashcam

The Next base 320xr offers a stripped back, no frills feature set at a competitive price point that makes it an attractive two camera solution for those that don't need the extras. The mounting system for this dashcam is great. The base attaches to your car using adhesive and the camera attaches to the base via a magnetic connection for both the front and back cameras. This means that it's very quick and easy to remove the camera which is a huge positive. I wish all car mounted accessories used this type of magnetic system because it's really that good. I do wish they'd have transitioned to a USB-C based power connection (this does have a USB-C input for the rear camera, but the power port is the ancient USB mini style connector). My vehicle is not equipped with any 12v outlets (which has been a very annoying situation to deal with in general) so I've had to come up with an adapter setup that allows me to use this camera. What my vehicle has in abundance is USB-C ports, so if this had as USB-C port for main power, my install would've been much simpler. Picture quality on the recordings is decent. Both front and rear cams record in 1080p which is ok, but the resulting footage isn't always the clearest. In particular, I've noticed that in suboptimal lighting, license plates are not always legible which is problematic in situations such as hit and runs where you wouldn't have time to jot the plate down. Similarly, night footage can be very grainy, losing finer details compared to cameras with larger sensors with greater resolution. While being a fairly basic camera, one feature that I think deserves discussion is the parking mode on the 320xr. When enabled if the camera senses an impact or movement it will take a 30 second video clip. Anyone that's come out of a store to see their vehicle has been hit with no one in sight knows that this is a VERY good feature to have. Given the camera has an onboard battery, you can even use this feature without having the cam wired to an always on power source. This camera bundle is a great option for those looking to get a basic, reliable camera to protect yourself while on the road. Having coverage in both the front and back means you'll have video evidence if someone hits you, and enabling parking mode means you'll have that evidence even while you're not driving your vehicle. If you can live with modest video quality, the 320xr is worthy of your consideration, especially at this price point.

    Awesome Dash Cam

I have been using the Nextbase 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam with the included 32GB microSD card for several weeks, and it has performed exceptionally well. I sought a solution that would monitor both the road ahead and the rear environment, and this setup offers significant peace of mind through clear, full high-definition recording from both cameras. The front camera records in 1080p full HD at 30 frames per second, and the 140-degree wide-angle captures a lot of the scene without missing essential details. I appreciate how reliably it detects license plates and road signs, especially in everyday driving. The rear window camera also records in 1080p, which makes the two-camera coverage feel consistent and truly useful for documenting what happens in traffic or in a parking lot. Installation was one of the best parts. The Click and Go PRO mount with magnetic power connectors is an innovative design, because I can attach or remove the dash-cam quickly with one hand. The rear camera mounts directly to the rear window using an adhesive pad, and the magnetic, adjustable fixture made it easy to aim correctly, even with the angle of my rear glass. It also feels versatile enough to work well in vehicles with more vertical rear windows. Using the dash cam day to day is straightforward. The 2.5-inch high-definition screen with IPS technology makes the menus easy to navigate and the playback when reviewing clips on the device. I also prefer physical buttons to a touchscreen because they feel more precise and easier to use, especially without fingerprints all over the display. One feature I find especially valuable is Intelligent Parking Mode, which automatically starts recording when motion is detected. It is a practical layer of protection when the car is parked, and I like knowing it can capture activity even when I am not in the vehicle. Overall, the Nextbase 320XR front-and-rear system feels like a solid, practical choice for complete coverage. Between the clear 1080p recording, wide viewing angles, easy mounting, and dependable parking protection, it provides the kind of everyday security I wanted for driving and parking.

While driving down the highway, no matter your destination, you should be able to recall what happened on the roadway. Now more than ever people should consider having some sort of video proof about what happens on the roadway in front of them or behind them. The Nextbase 320XR Dash Cam fills all your needs when it comes to accomplishing that goal. It comes with both a front facing camera as well as a rear facing camera. It comes with all parts and accessories needed to install the camera in your vehicle. This includes any adhesive and cables needed to connect both the cameras to each other as well as to a power source. It records in full high definition (1080p) so every detail is caught. It also comes with a 32gb microSD card for recording all of the footage. The camera has a lot of cool features. It has an impact monitor that records potential impacts to your vehicle when it's parked. The camera is super easy to use. We installed it in my wife's sport utility vehicle in a matter of minutes. Get peace of mind by installing a Nextbase dash camera today!

I’ve already been using Nextbase dashcams in two of my vehicles for a while now, so when it came time to upgrade and finally add a rear camera for full coverage, the Nextbase 320XR kit fit the bill. What I really appreciate about Nextbase is that they keep things simple, consistent, and reliable, and this kit stays true to that formula. It comes with everything you need right out of the box, including the rear camera and even a 32GB microSD card so you’re ready to roll immediately. The installation is about as painless as it gets: you mount the front cam using the included double-sided adhesive pad, which attaches firmly to the windshield, and then just run the power cable through the headliner, down the A-pillar, or however you prefer to keep things clean and tucked away. The cable is long enough for pretty much any vehicle setup. The rear camera mount is identical in the way it mounts to the window, another adhesive pad and another generously long cable so the whole thing feels very plug-and-play. One small note from prior experience though, the included Nextbase adhesive isn’t always the most durable long term, especially in hotter climates. I personally swapped it out for a higher strength automotive tape just so I wouldn’t have to worry about it letting go on a scorching day. You also get multiple ways to power the system. There’s the cigarette-lighter option for an easy setup, though some newer cars don’t even include those anymore. My preference is always the hardwire kit through the fuse box because you get stable power, automatic on/off with the ignition, and that extra bit of surge protection that keeps everything safe and consistent. Performance wise, the 320XR delivers exactly what I’ve come to expect from Nextbase. The front camera records crisp, clear HD footage with solid dynamic range and all the telemetry info you’d want if you ever need to submit footage for insurance or legal reasons. The app, MyNextbase remains one of the better dashcam apps out there, especially since it makes previewing, trimming, and downloading clips straightforward and fast. The rear cam isn’t quite as sharp as the front, but that’s pretty normal considering how tiny it is and the fact that it’s shooting through tinted glass. Even with my darker rear windows, the image quality is more than good enough to capture license plates, impacts, and anything happening behind the vehicle. After using multiple Nextbase models, I can confidently say this brand has saved me more headaches than I can count, and I’ve shown plenty of footage to friends and family who’ve ended up grabbing one for themselves. The 320XR is just another solid addition to the lineup, easy to install, reliable when it matters, and absolutely worth having for the peace of mind alone.

    Nextbase Dashcam: It's good

This dashcam comes with everything you need for installation, cables and all. Installation of the hardware is swift and painless, guiding the cables around the car might take a little longer to get to a clean setup. In terms of capabilities, it's quite a solid product, both cameras can record at 1080p in glorious full HD. The small screen on the main camera is easy to see and read. The click and go system used makes it easy to quickly connect and disconnect the camera to retrieve the footage using a computer or a phone app which is made by Nextbase and is free to use. It also can hold a MicroSD card which is great, but be aware that you'll need a fast card. Mine came with one and it worked like a charm. I believe that dashcams make up for a good way to keep an eye on what is going on in front and in the back of your vehicle adding a bit more peace of mind in case something happens on the road. On everyday trips, it's a nice and useful tool. I would recommend it to anyone who wants to add a layer of safety to their vehicles.

Initial impressions is that is made very well and solidly built. In the box you get the main dash camera, a rear camera, power cable, 32gb SD card, a 26' cable, mount and extra adhesive. Install was very easy but of course depends on vehicle used, your skill, etc. For me installing and setting it up in my 2014 Honda Civic took about 30 minutes. The hardest part was hiding the main cable that attaches the rear camera. But I just tucked it under my plastic floor boards on the door sills. Then the set up was easy and the UI is well laid out. My car already has a rear camera and a right side camera so now all angles are covered. I wish I could integrate my stock cameras to the main to record which might be possible but more difficult then I want to attempt. The screen quality is great and of much higher quality then my stock cams. And the footage comes out great. I never thought I'd need a dash cam but I'm glad I do now. There's an added piece of mind knowing I have footage to backup any story from an incident or accident. Great price, easy to set up, nice quality footage, and has rear camera as well. Highly recommend!

Initial Impression: My impression of the Nextbase 320XR dashcam is that it is a well-made dash camera. The plastics are very durable; the magnetic mount is strong yet easy to disengage. The included cables feel well made and not the typical cheap cables, and the screen is nice and large. What’s in the Box: • Nextbase 320XR owner's manual • Nextbase 320XR Dash Camera • Click & Go Pro Powered Mount (with 3M-VHB adhesive) • Spare 3M Mount pad • Rear Window camera with 10" cable • 26.25' Rear camera cable • 5.5" USB adapter • Cable tidy tool • 2 Wet and 2 Dry wipes • 2 Windshield cleaning cloths • Quick Start Guide • Firmware update information • Charging reminder card • Window decals Technical Specifications: • Field of View: 140 degrees • Automatic Incident Detection: Yes • G-Sensor: Yes • Recording Resolution: 1920 x 1080 • Automatic Incident Detection: Yes • G-Sensor: Yes • Recording Resolution: 1920 x 1080 • Frame Rate: 30 fps • Loop-Cycle Recording: TRUE • Image Sensor Type: CMOS • Lens: 6 layer f1.6 • Camera Power Source: Vehicle battery • Memory Compatibility: microSD • Recording Feature: Yes • Night Vision: Yes • Screen Included: Yes • Screen: 2.5” HD IPS • Screen Resolution: 732 x 240 • Dimensions: 1.8” H x 3.2” W x 1.8” D • Product Weight: 0.17 lbs. Setup: The setup for this camera is simple. You insert the microSD card into the main camera, power up the camera, and go through the setup questions such as Country, Region, Time Zone, Speed Units, etc. Once configured, it is ready for use. Performance: This is not my first Nextbase Dash Cam. I have used them in the past and have an older model in my truck. Nextbase dash cameras have always had great performance, and this one is no different. To start off, I really like the quality of the daytime video. Both the screen and the recorded video are crisp and clear. The colors are accurate, and there is no distortion while moving, and the motion blur is minor but realistic. Additionally, the camera does a good job of reacting to direct sunlight. It is easy to see the vehicles and their details, and plate reading is better than most. Even street signs can be read from the video. While the night video doesn’t have the same clarity as daytime video, it is still good. As for audio, the microphone provides clear audio, even with road noise and driving with the windows down. Unlike other models, the 320XR does not have any Wi-Fi or Bluetooth to connect to an app. It also does not have GPS. However, you can connect your camera to the dashcam via USB to upgrade the firmware and download video or transfer it to cloud storage. Conclusion: This is a good dashcam. It doesn’t have some of the features that higher end cameras have, but it has its place. Some people want all the features, but some people want a dashcam that sits and does its job, and provides good, clear video when it is needed. That’s who this dashcam is for. I had someone cut me off then slam on their breaks so they could do an illegal exit. I slammed into them, and when I went to their car, they had fled. If I had a dashcam, I wouldn’t have any trouble proving innocent. But the driver came back days later and said he didn’t do it. So, it ended up being my fault. If you want a dashcam that will provide you with proof when needed, both for the front and the rear of the vehicle, and you are not worried about accessing the camera from your dashcam, then this dashcam is a great option for you.

    A Complete Dash Cam Package

Nextbase’s 320XR dash cam is Nextbase's entry level dash cam. It supports FHD recording to a microSD card. The 320XR is easy to setup. The menu was simple to traverse and set the settings that I wanted. One of the features I set was parking mode. That mode will use a sensor to detect motion when I’m parked. If it detects motion it will start recording. The 320XR will use it’s battery to run the sensor when my vehicle is turned off. The battery will last about 4 days or so without my vehicle running and charging the cam. That’s long enough for me as I drive my vehicle often enough that I don’t usually have to worry about that. The 320XR’s display is small, but works well enough. It’s easy for me to get to the microSD card when I want to take it out and copy video to my PC. The version of the 320XR I have came with a 32GB microSD card. Thats actually enough as that allows me to finish a drive and take the card out to copy any video file that I want to keep to my PC. The quality of video is what I expected given that the cam is a 1080 cam. It’s good enough to capture an accident, but sometimes there is a problem reading some of the number/letters on a license plate. It’s usually when the vehicle in view is out a little distance ahead of me, but this is a FHD cam and not a 4K, so I’m ok with it. The kit came with a rear view cam as well. I like that it came with it and wasn’t something I had to purchase. I came with everything that I need to mount it to the windshield mounts. I don’t like that the mount uses adhesive. I would have like at suction cup mount instead. As it is though, the adhesive is really good and I’m not worried about it coming loose. You get a lot with the Nextbase 320XR front and rear dash cam with 32GB microSD card. If you are someone who is looking for a dash cam, front and rear cameras, and you have a limited budget, then I would recommend considering the Nextbase 320XR with front and rear cameras. It’s full package to get you started.

    Easy and Simple to Use

TL;DR: SETUP: The Nextbase 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam is simple and easy. The mount is solid. Make sure to plan where you want the rear wire/cable to go (hidden in the panels or visible). USE: Straightforward interface and easy to follow. USABILITY: Easy menus to navigate. It’s not a touchscreen, but the buttons are simple to understand. There isn’t a GPS function, WiFi or Bluetooth connectivity, or an app. OVERALL: It’s a great budget option dash cam that has you fully covered. REVIEW: I have been using the Nextbase 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam for about a week. I found it to be straightforward, consistent (has recorded everything; I’ve checked it after a couple of longer drives), and easy to use (it’s nice not having an app, which often is slower to view the recordings than the 320XR). Installation was simple. You attach the front camera with the Click&Go Pro Magnetic Mount. Power runs through the mount, so you can take down the front dash cam to view your recordings. If you want to save the videos, you can view them from the required MicroSD card or directly attach the camera to your computer. You don’t need to remove the mount and cables, which makes things a bit easier. The rear camera connects via a long cable that you hide under the headliner and trim. It takes some time to get it right, but it’s not difficult to do. You can easily do it yourself…you don’t need to have a professional install it. Once it’s installed, you don’t have to do much. Like most Dash Cams, it will automatically start recording as you drive. It will continually loop and write over the older recordings. The recordings are clear. The screen is helpful, but if you really want to hone in on the details, connecting to a computer is much easier to see things. Overall, I really like this Nextbase 320XR. It’s a set it, forget it, and look at it when you need. I’ve already recommended it to a friend who bought a new car and asked me what I knew about dashcams!

    Simple Dashcam That Delivers

Context: I much prefer the security and peace-of-mind afforded by a dashcam and have tried out several; trouble is, my most frequent passenger has some level of sensitivity to wifi & Bluetooth signals. Enter the Nextbase - 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam as a solution! I was excited about the Nextbase - 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam because I wanted both front and rear coverage without spending a fortune, and on price it delivers. Installation was straightforward, and day-to-day use feels uncomplicated. The unit is unobtrusive on the windshield and the mount makes it simple to pop the camera off when I don’t want to leave it in the car. On image quality, daytime footage has great color and lighting. At night, low‑light clips are grainier and lack some sharpness. As mentioned earlier, this is a slightly stripped‑down prodcut. Out of the box there’s no built‑in GPS unless you buy accessories, no Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth for real-time transfers, and no driver‑assist extras. That said, that’s what I was looking for and the “inconvenience” of having to potentially download files using a laptop is no real issue. The included rear camera makes this package a standout value. Having true dual‑channel recording at this price adds meaningful coverage not often seen at this price point. After living with it, I see the 320XR as a budget‑friendly, easy‑to‑use dual‑camera kit that’s ideal if you prioritize coverage and simplicity over bells and whistles. For everyone else who wants affordable front‑and‑rear protection without the fuss, this hits the mark.

The Nextbase Full High Definition Dash Front and Rear Dash Cam comes with 32 gigabytes of storages. Seeing the camera up, in the rear was easy. I remove the sticker and placed at the my rear view window and then attached the rear camera. I plugged it into an outlet that I have in the middle console of my car so that the rear camera would be connected. In addition, the front camera I removed the sticker of the piece to attach the first part to the front of the window shield, then attached the front camera and it was set up to record. I like that it is easy to click into the mount piece. In addition, placed the sticker that notifys others that your recording. I did not use the adapter it came with for the front camera, it was not needed in my case. The prior night I charged the camera to make sure it was full. To view the memory they provide an SD card and I was able to insert it into my desktop to view the video. The charge of the camera last a good while. Your able to lock in dates, times, and the Video Menu provides various options that include and are not limited to Resolution, Exposure, Audio Recording, and the Video Length. You can select different video length options. In addition, the camera has a G Sensor feature as well. Overall, like the camera. Would recommend, if this is something that your looking for.Yes, I would recommend this product to others. Thank you for letting me test it. PROs: Easily attachable SD Card is nice. Cons: None at the moment. Will update if I see anything.

The packaging of this dash cam was good and compact. I wish there were written instructions included with the device instead of having to go on-line to review the installation instructions as well as the owner’s manual. The picture instructions that come in the package are not helpful so I would either add comprehensive instructions or eliminate the pictures and direct the consumer to the website. Installing the product is relatively easy, however the cords are clunky and not easily able to hide in my vehicle. The video shows how to hide them along the weatherstripping and above the visor, however my car does not allow for that same installation. I will most likely need to seek a professional to install them to conceal as much as possible. The picture is clear and the product works as designed, however for me I would prefer a wireless option given my current vehicle and the inability to easily hide the cords. As for ease of use and storage capacity, it was a good product for the price.

This is my first experience with a dash cam so I don't have much to offer as a comparison. However, I have been fully satisfied with this thus far. The camera is easy to install and offers a reliable piece of mind. PROS: Video quality - This camera provides solid video quality day and night from both cameras. I have been pleasantly surprised by how crisp things are on playback. Interface - I am a sucker for physical buttons, especially on things that I might need to interact with while driving. The main unit here is solid and everything just seems to work. I also prefer a visible screen Rear camera - I think this a pretty underrated feature at this price point. While I agree that if footage is unfortunately needed, it would most likely be from a front facing camera, I really appreciate the peace of mind a rest facing camera adds. Cons: It's hard to find anything to gripe about with this camera but I generally feel like this camera leaves a bit too be desired. This a a pretty saturated market and I feel like this product just sits somewhere in between value and quality and not really pulling from either category. Ultimately I am happy with the product and would recommend it, but I would definitely do a lot of comparison.

At the next 320xr Cam comes with everything you need, and is even eligible for a geek squad install. Let's start with raw specs. The kit comes with two cameras, one forward facing and one back facing. They record at 1080P at 30 frames per second. They include a 2.5 in integrated HD display. The included 32 GB SD card is an excellent card, handling up to 100 MB per second, ensuring it starts recording quickly when needed, so nothing is missed. While I have had a dash cam for quite a while, I have never had one that records front and back. I don't know why I ever thought just recording in front of me was adequate, but now that I have this I would never go back. The installation was not particularly difficult, but it took me a while to tuck wires behind the ceiling. The cameras are very adjustable, so that no matter what type of car you have, both cameras should work excellent. It has excellent night vision, and I have reviewed the recordings and everything looks more than adequate for what I imagine most are using this for, insurance purposes.

The Nextbase 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam provides protection, safety, and connectivity for the vehicle of your choosing This package contains the Nextbase 320XR dash and window cams, a 32GB micro-SD card, power and connection cables, and a mount (for front camera). Specs With a camera resolution of 1080p @ 30 fps, these units have crisp video feedback. The front integrated displays high-definition imagery at a screen size of 2.5”. These units also include enhanced night vision for night recording, intelligent parking mode, a crash tested mount, and is compatible with an anti-glare filter. A rear mounted camera is included which is connected to the display by an 8mm 26 ft cord. Pros I really enjoy the enhanced night vision night recording feature. I truly feel protected at all times of the day with these units on my new vehicle. A very silly thing to include as a pro to some, I also really liked that it came with spare window adhesive. It is something most people do not readily have available, and is nice to have some handy if I change vehicles. Cons I wish it supported wireless connectivity instead of using a micro-SD card. While you can review footage on the display, if you want to view it elsewhere, it must be with an item that supports SD card function. In this same vein, I wish it could wirelessly connect to the rear camera. It is a little cumbersome to thread the 26 ft cord in a way as to not damage it. Conclusion This is a solid two camera unit for the price! If you are looking to protect your vehicle at all times, these are truly indispensable.

Unboxing, the dash cam is a nice size (small factor) so it doesn’t obstruct driving. It’s made well and pretty light. The front and rear dash cam gives me peace of mind during commuting and parking in busy areas to capture everything just in case. Overall, I like how easy it was to set up and had no issues with capturing my daily driving activities. Installation was simpler than I expected, and it was helpful and very nice that it included a memory card so I could start using it right away. The magnetic mount on the front camera is convenient and makes it easy to adjust or remove when needed. Video quality during the day is clear from both cameras, with good visibility of surrounding cars, traffic flow, and lanes. Nighttime footage is still clear but not as clear as I was hoping but the nigh vision does help a little. Captures headlights and activity around the vehicle, which is reassuring if something happens after dark. Once installed, the camera records automatically and loop recording works exactly as it should, so there’s nothing to manage day to day. The menu system is straightforward and easy to navigate. I actually prefer that there’s no app or Wi-Fi involved, since I can review footage directly on the camera or on a computer without dealing with connectivity issues. Parking mode works well when hardwired and adds extra peace of mind. I’m giving it 4 stars because it doesn’t include GPS or wireless features, but if you want a simple, reliable front and rear dash cam, I would consider this one.

Basic Front and Rear Dash cam

The Nextbase - 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam is a no frills basic front and rear dash cam. It works as advertised for a front and rear webcam. Everything to install and use is included in the box, even a 32gb SD card. Installation with included cables is pretty straightforward with a cigarette lighter plug in for power. However, I would have liked to have a hardwire option. The base for front and rear cameras uses a 3M tape to mount the glass. And on of the nice features is the cameras uses a magnetic attachment. Video quality is pretty good during the daylight usage, however night time is not quite clear and detailed as I would have liked. Admittedly, for what it was purchased and designed to be used for, it does admirably. But the features and technology it lacks makes it hard to compete with other dash cams. BUT if what you need is a basic dash cam and a good price, then the Nextbase - 320XR Front and Rear Dash Cam will fit the bill. For maybe a more advanced user, it should have GPS, Bluetooth, a phone app. But for someone wanting a no frills dash cam that is easy to install and use, then this one will work fine!
