    This accessory has given my children who have the original 3DS XL systems the ability to use our amiibo figures with games such as Smash Bros. or Kirby Planet Robobot. I like that it has an auto shutoff in case they forget to turn it off when they're done so it doesn't drain the batteries.

    This item works very well if you do not have a Nintendo hand held with Amiibo capabilities built in. It does take batteries so make sure you do not leave your device on 24/7.

    If you don't want to upgrade to the "new 3DS" this is a great option for amiibo and amiibo card compatibility, works great and looks nice. A little larger than expected.

    This isn't a small transportation device. :) It reads the characters for some game, it's my kids but I paid for it. Phew isn't that always the case.

    Easy to set up and use for Amiibo-enabled games on the 3DS. Bulky, but cheaper than getting a New Nintendo 3DS.

    So this does as it's asked to do, sends info to the Nintendo 3DS, but it doesn't do it all that well at times, it has to be lined up pretty exact.
