Customers are saying

Customers commend the product's excellent graphics, engaging game play, and overall performance, often describing it as a fun experience. They also appreciate the great car selection, cool art style, and customization options, alongside a good soundtrack and reasonable price. However, some customers suggest improvements for the story line, find the difficulty a bit challenging, and note that controls could be better tuned, particularly for manual drivers.

I'm a die hard racing video games player and this game is amazing. I haven't put it down since launch. Graphics on PS5 are amazing. Customizations for cars is very good. Tons and tons of choices for everything to make your cars look great and just how you want them. Great soundtrack, makes you want to race and chill. Great gameplay, very solid, sturdy and smooth online also. ***NOTE*** only downside. Career mode does not carry over to Online. Only some free cars that can help but honestly might not be worth it. Just start online. If you don't have WiFi then career mode is a very good though as well. Not as cringy as some past EA titles story modes.

I definitely believe need for speed has gone on the right path with this one, I really do wish we can get more of what they did with NFS 2015 though. Some of the races can get repetitive, but maybe due to my own personal “play-style”. I never cared much for character customization but it’s there, the story is decent, but- it won’t have you hooked like NFS the RUN. I keep referring to past titles but I do believe this was one of the better NFS we have gotten in a while, especially at the price point this is selling currently.

This game is easily noticeable as a “next gen” game! Feels and plays like NFS Heat, which I love! Best Buy price matched for me so it was an easy transaction on purchasing this! Looks gorgeous on the PS5. Definitely a great game so far!

Every once in a while, I give Need for Speed games another shot. Unbound is, by far, one of the best games the NFS franchise has made in a good while. I would call it a crossover between NFS Underground 2 and NFS Most Wanted. The story is good enough that you want to know what happens even if some of it can be anticipated, the customization is the best from all recent games, and it feels just like an arcade racing game should. I particularly enjoyed taking pictures of my customized vehicles (see attached screenshots). PROS: Fun customizations, good story, can be found on sale, online community interactions (share designs/race) CONS: None

I don’t care what the other negative reviews are saying, it’s a really fun and good game. It looks beautiful on the PS5. It’s a challenging game for sure, you legit start from scratch and you’re basically building a car racing empire with a garage and a nice stock over time of cars. It’s a good story so far and I’m really enjoying it. It’s like the older Need For Speed games where you can hook up pretty much everything, brake pads, calipers, rotors, tires, engine, exhaust system, fuel injectors, I mean freaking everything. They have also a dope selection of cars to start with in the story. I haven’t played online yet, but a coworker tells me it’s really fun to play. I wanna wait until I’m more experienced to do that. I definitely recommend this game for car lovers, y’all will love this one. I’m really satisfied with this installment so far. I think a lot of people’s problems with this game and every one before this is that everyone cries about wanting it to be like Need For Speed Underground. Y’all just need to move on and enjoy this new game and whatever changes it brought to this franchise.

I’ve played most Need for Speed games and this is the best looking, most polished game yet. It plays great on PS5, very clean and fast. The car selection is great. This is also more challenging than previous titles, with lots to loose. Its the first NFS I’ve had to put on easy mode for a while to earn cash to advance, but once I got started I could not put it down.

Love it! Not easy, but very fun once you get playing, you can build your skills. I recommend playing the B, A, racings and building cars fully before moving on to the next steps, like A, A+, S and so on. It’s really hard to compete without fully built cars and many different options in your garage.

Need for Speed Unbound revitalizes the franchise with vibrant street art visuals and engaging street racing. The blend of arcade-style driving and car customization feels fresh, while the dynamic police chases keep the adrenaline pumping. Though the story lacks depth, its stylish presentation and thrilling gameplay make it a worthy ride.

Constant Gen Z slang gets annoying fast.

Got this with new PS5. The constant gen z slang gets very old fast. You have this super annoying Asian girl talking to you one the phone all the time setting you up for these high risk pickups. I want to punch her in the throat. Besides that character, you are bombarded with gen z slang from every character at every interaction. It comes off like your parents trying to relate to you by using your lingo. I'm not Gen Z, and generally hate them, their slang, clothes and attitudes. Guess I'm an old millennial, though i hate millennial stuff too. As far as the gameplay; the mechanics are more arcade than realistic which fits the animation like style of the game. I liked the visuals, car and character customization. I just cant get over how much I want to punch every character I interact right in their annoying throats. My character is hot though and would totally smash if she never talked.
