Bought this game for my kid. Good game to play with kids.

My kids enjoyed playing the game. We have every year.

My son was the play with his friends all the time!

This game needs patched. I'm fine with RB not being able to be spammed anymore. Power Forward needs nerfed a bit. The rebound control for goalies is out of control. I would not recommend this until they fix the glitches.

This game seems almost exactly the same, but the gameplay seems a bit off. Still fun to play World of Chel with friends and family all over the country!

Still can't modify the length of a season in either Franchise or Be A Pro modes.

Same game, different year. Mostly just a roster update and the crowd looks a bit better. EA's monopoly on hockey games has really brought the quality down year to year.

NHL 19 was a bit of a letdown for me. It's pretty much the same as NHL 18, but with a few more new players and some new arenas.

The game is fine but lack of modes makes it get old quick

EA needs to completely overhaul this game. Just as unplayable as in years past. Need to get rid of the development team and start from scratch on this game.

This is the first version of NHL I've bought on the next gen consoles so I can't really compare it to any of the last few years editions. The graphics are amazing and the game mechanics are great. You can play pond hockey in the World of Chel feature, which is cool. You do need Xbox live gold to play 3 of the 4 games modes in it though. The training camp feature is great (the last version I owned for 360 I had to google how to win faceoffs). It helps you learn how to do most of the fancy things with the right stick. I also like on Be A Pro how you get suggested things to do in the game, complete with the controller instructions, which help level up your pro.

The gameplay is awesome. The player mechanics are so realistic. The graphics are almost identical to last years NHL but it’s really the gameplay that counts. One annoying problem that I encountered is creating a team in franchise mode. The game freezes out and restarts about 15 minutes in with creating a team.

Great updated version of nhl. My 8 year old son loves this game.

Horribly flawed game. The gameplay mechanics are horrible. Doesn’t resemble anything like real hockey. Teammate AI in be a pro or horrible and incompetent while opposing teams AI pass the puck flawlessly and can skate seemlessly through the slot without any defense helping out. That’s just barely scratching the surface of this franchise that has just gotten so bad.
