A must for all hockey fans. Some modes are getting a bit long in the tooth, but the game is still extremely enjoyable.

NHL 21 is literally a worse version of gameplay than NHL 20. Penalties (especially tripping) are still the gameplays biggest weakness. As well as; passing and switching players are never accurate and it is 20 times harder to hit. Your AI defense is horrible, and worse than before. And to no ones surprise, goalies are still horrible. EA seems to only care about offense and doesn’t want to balance the defense in their games. EA also copies and paste 80% of their previous game and the 20% of it that they change is what they advertise yet you still have to pay $60 for it. NHL if you are reading this, I would advise letting 2k have a shot of making these games so EA might actually try for once. Since NHL 15, it seams like it got a tiny bit better each year until NHL 18 and then went on a downward slope. Don’t buy this game, get NHL 20. it’s not much better but it’s better version of NHL 21.
