The first Ni no Kuni game was amazing, so I had high hopes for this game as well. Sadly NnKII fell short of expectations. For one the lack of meaningful voice dialogue was severely lacking throughout most of the game. It became a mostly a series of grunts and laughs, which was not only made dialogue scenes overly drawn out but boring as well. I think I just skipped through half the story because it became cumbersome to read. The battle system was basic and battles were either too easy or way too difficult, also the cat-wrangling battlefield mode was simply cumbersome and battles took waaay too long. I will say that the scenery was stunning and the art direction beautiful, however it wasn’t enough of a distraction to make the game enjoyable.

Its better than the first one but still a little too long imo.

This game is a huge improvement in gameplay over the first game.

This guys really came back and did a masterpiece. Wait for sale.
