This is a typical jrpg. My biggest complaint about this game is the fighting, it's not real fun and gets old pretty quick.

Ni no Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom Day 1 Edition is a huge disappointment, gone are the character capture and using them as monster powers; what is given instead is strategy battles and random action battles; everything small in the game, limited voiceovers and collect the next character to expand gameplay

Ni No Kuni II plays almost like a typical Action RPG. You take control of a party, gain skills, take on main and side quests and take part in combat as well as dive in dungeons for better loot and equipment. Biggest thing with this game is that you can build a kingdom, which will give you several bonuses on your adventure as you level up your kingdom and play through the game. This game did feel a tad bit on the easy side, but has since been fixed as the developers have added a free update to the game which adds a Harder difficulty along with some Harder content to the game. Voice acting was decent, though many cutscenes in the game completely lack any. Well worth the money with the newly added Hard difficulty.

This is the most boring and repetitive rpg I've played in a long time. I sold at GameStop for credit.

This game sequel had high expectations to be able to live up to the reputation of the first. In my opinion though, it has far outdone itself in just about every way and I couldn't be happier with it. Haven't been able to put it down.

A great sequel to the first game. They toned down the combat from the first one, added more action to the fights, but kept the feel, looks, and amazing music. The addition of kingdom building is a nice new mechanic.

The combat was very easy, and the story was not as good as the first game. Nice graphics and I do like the kingdom building aspect of it. But I was letdown overall.
