Reread the review summary supplied. Not enough info, then let me inform you that even the perceived faults in this game do not tarnish the experience. Story is fine, some things trivial (filler). Graphics are most of the time, beautiful (animation quality). If you slightly like RPG's and see games through to the end, then this is a solid game.

I played through the first Ni No Kuni on PS3 and i loved it. This is more action RPG, has some kingdom building; combat is easier than the first game however. Still a ton to do in side quests and collecting people for your kingdom. It's takes less hours to beat this one than the first game. So for those on a time crunch it'll take about 30-40 hrs

This game is a great follow up to the first Ni no Kuni. The games are slightly different though but each have their own strengths that won't deny you of enjoying it. The beautiful animations flow flawlessly! Even if you haven't played the first you should definitely give this game a go and just enjoy it for what it is.

As if Miyazaki illustrated your game

In this 2nd collaboration with Studio Ghibli to produce a game that feels like a Hayao Miyazaki film, we see the gameplay get a bit more action orientated which will probably appeal to more players than the previous entry on the PS3. It's not a continuation of the 1st's story, so you can jump right on in and it's worth it.

I am about 20 hours into it and its been great so far. Took me about 10 hours to get the Kingdom building and for me once that moment hit the game really took off. Combat is pretty easy and chaotic with lots of choices, but button mashing usually works the best. Great 4k and even better HDR support.

In my opinion the fighting in this game is way more fun than the 1st Ni No Kuni because it's not as clunky when choosing an action to perform. I haven't gotten too far in the game, but this cute little game is keeping me entertained with the beautiful artwork and different of games within.

The combat and kingdom building is superb, but eventually breaks the game about 3/4 through and you're left with an overly easy game with a lackluster storyline. The ending of the game ruined the rest of the experience for me.

I played the first one and found though they are different in a lot of ways, this was still fun and had a great amount of the same elements that made the first one so memorable. I love how they kept that easy charm.

This game is like a wonderful evolution of the concepts presented in the first game. If you like Studio Ghibli or JRPGs you owe yourself to play this game. If you are new to JRPGs, this is a great first-play that is truly a nice way to get people interested in the genre.

Ni No Kuni II is an entirely different experience from the first game. Yet, it continues to delight RPG fans with new twists along the way. Journey to foreign lands, rich with unique creatures. Your adventure will help you win the day for King and Country!!

It starts slow. After few hours in, you enjoy the experience of the game. I recommend to battle enemies that have higher level than you. It will give you a challenge. If you battle enemies on your current level it’s too easy and you won’t enjoy the game.

I picked up this game expecting a lot because of the reviews. The game was nice and fun although seemed very childish. The fighting mechanics are fun. However, when I mobilized my army to go to war with a large bandit base for a library card and to get the librarians lipstick it kind of struck a nerve. Seems very kiddy. I couldn't hear the protagonist say "live happily ever after" without wanting to backhand him. Since then I put it down. Its still a good game and I'll most likely continue but it seems very "kiddy". I prefer the Tales games a lot more. If you're ok with it the game is still fairly interesting with a lot of fun game mechanics and gameplay. All in all a good game but not for me.

Ni No Kuni 2 expands on the first game in world size, a new battle system and a city builder aspect. New characters and enemies make the game fun to explore and new puzzle challenges and dungeons to take on. A huge game with a ton of content, worth the money.

If you love RPGs you owe it to yourself to play this game. Visually pleasant to look at, an ode to old school anime. Very anime inspired plot with great gameplay thats easy to pick up and play. TOns of side content and a fun little minigame to boot
