Sadly NnKII fell short of expectations. For one the lack of meaningful voice dialogue was severely lacking throughout most of the game. It became a mostly a series of grunts and laughs, which was not only made dialogue scenes overly drawn out but boring as well. I think I just skipped through half the story because it became cumbersome to read. The battle system was basic and battles were either too easy or way too difficult, also the cat-wrangling battlefield mode was simply cumbersome and battles took waaay too long. I will say that the scenery was stunning and the art direction beautiful, however it wasn’t enough of a distraction to make the game enjoyable.
