There was a lot of build up for this game and while I did enjoy the playthrough, the lack of story and game length really didn't make this stand out for me. I might be part of a minority but that is my two cents.

I continued playing Nier in hopes to see what everyone was talking about but after completing all of the games storylines I was left underwhelmed with the gameplay and story. This may be a case of the hype creating unrealistic expectations.

I heard amazing things about this game. I love RPGs, I'm a huge fan of sci fi and dystopian future games. This game just felt cold I didnt feel drawn to any characters, the story felt empty and bland to me and just very overall boring and predictable. You do have to play the game 3 times to get the whole story but beating it once was a trudge enough for me. That's just my opinion though and it doesnt mean anything because clearly a ton of people love this game. I'd recommend it to a friend because I didnt think it was a bad game just wasnt as good as it had been hyped up to be to me.

Don't be fooled, very little of this game is like the demo that was released. It's another "open world" sidequest filled game and not a very good one either. The game failed to draw me in and the combat was terrible.

I actually completely forgot I was playing this game. I played it on release and the next day I totally forgot I had it until just now two years later. I guess it wasn't very fun to me!

Alot of people say this is their GOTY but I found it tedious and traversal was very irritating. The visual style is beautiful but it gets dull and boring over time.

I tend to give up on games that don’t suck me in early. This game might be great, but it never sucked me in like Witcher 3 and Horizon Zero Dawn.

Looked good from the trailers but got boring and stale real quick. I will go back to it once I'm done with my other games.

The game seemed to be a bit overhyped. Out the gate it was fun, but seemed to progress a little slow. I preferred Horizon: Zero Dawn in terms of the RPG aspect.

Personally, it's an average game. Feels like b+ anime. If you have lots of backlogs and don't want to finish multiple times this might not for you.

NOT challenging as I like my games but entertaining enough. I beat it too fast. Easy if you don't want to be stressed out when you play.

The fighting and storytelling in this game is top notch but in my opinion, the exploring and open world structure just seems hollow.

I have heard nothing but good things about this game and I am really looking forward to diving into the story.

My only complaint is sometimes when you're running forward it gives you a side view and you can't look around.

Combat is too easy, pure button mashing get you through this game. Bad voice acting. Repetitive environments.

It was recommended by an employee over some other games I had picked out. Wish I wouldn't have bought it...

Nice game but a little different than I expected once you get past the beginning than its a normal game

The game is fun and entertaining, but I believe it's a bit overpriced for what it is.

Returned it and bought the game digitally on Xbox One to get 4k and HDR support.
