I don't really get all the rave reviews of this game. I found it pretty boring. It tries to sound smart but just comes off unbelievable and pretentious. It reminds me of things like the second Matrix movie and Inception where they try really hard to sound intellectual but in reality its just a bunch of nonsense.

Not a very good game to me, the map system s terrible, and the storyline is oked.

Notbthe game I was expecting but still ok to play.

I really didn't enjoy this game. I bought it based on the reviews, but I should have done further research online. I only played it for an hour before I decided to trade it in.

First this is not an rpg. It is an action hack n slash game. Terrible graphics repetitive gameplay. Worse part is 60.00 for just under 15 hours of gameplay. I guess if playing through multiple times to get different endings is your idea of a lengthy game then you MIGHT like this.

The game and the environment were a labor of love by the studio. It mixes different elements from a platformer to an arcade scroller. You're flying around in fighters, leaping, hacking, and slashing through a Japanese RPG. The pace is good and the story like a true Anime. There are a few weapons to choose from and they can all be upgraded. Even a iron pole. You can upgrade yourself and your companions with computer chips. The music is perfect. I've never heard such great original music. Maybe they'll release the soundtrack soon. Much care was placed in the details of things you find in the game. There is a jukebox located in one area you can play all the songs. Don't pass this one up.

First of all, if you are wanting to get this game, you must got for the PS4 version. The only other option is the PC port, but than has come out buggy as heck. Several months have passed since release and no official patch for its problems have been released yet. But there are no problems in the PS4 version. As for the game itself, it is truly something amazing. Combat is a tad repetitive, but everything is an absolute masterpiece. The best thing about this game is the story. It is anything and everything except predictable. The moment you thing you understand what's going on or how the story will end, that's when you get slapped with a major plot twist that leaves you shouting "Oh snap! I did not see that coming!"

Nier: Automata was a fantastic game. The game has many endings but I believe there are 5 main endings to the game. You first play as 2B, the female protagonist. After finishing, you play again as 9S, 2B's partner and get to go through from a slightly different perspective which adds to some of the history of the machine lifeforms. There is more game after your 2nd playthrough when you get to play as A2, another android fighting to end the machines reign on earth. The music in the game may be one of the best soundtracks I have ever heard in a video game. The music fits the locations you travel to and will change as you progress through the game. It adds as much emotion to the story as the actual dialogue itself. I have already spent more than 40 hours playing and there is still more for me to do in this world and even though you may play the same parts of the game more than once the game developers do a great job of not making it feel repetitious. They accomplish this through slight changes or cutscenes that explain more about the machines and their history on the planet before your arrival. The combat in the game is very smooth and satisfying when you battle large groups of machines at once. I am so happy I decided to give Nier a shot because it quickly became one of my favorite games. It is described as an action RPG but seems to be more of an action game than anything else and the goliath battles are so much fun.

...I just could not get into this game. Not very straight forward, not super enjoyable gameplay, quirky. Not recommended from this impatient gamer.

This is a very polished game - great graphics, great voice acting, great controls, well told storyline and fast-paced fun. What you come to expect from something being published by Square Enix. However, the thing that kept it from being 5 stars was that the character system/battle dynamics just wasn't deep enough for me and it's quite linear. It's tricky for an action-RPG to pull off more openness and complex battle dynamics, but I just came from playing God of War - now THAT game is a 5-star game. Still, this game is loads of fun and I recommend it to anyone who's into Square Enix action-RPG style games.

This game was simply amazing. From the moment you start you're thrown into the fray and it's a nonstop ride from there. The combat is super fun, the cameras can get wonky but nothing too crazy. What really shines for me is the amazing soundtrack. The gameplay is super robust and the graphics are stunning. I recommend playing it on one of the harder difficulties
