This game caught my Interest when It won Best Score/Music at The Game Awards 2017 over Persona 5. I've been listening to the OST for a week now and I just can't put down my headphones.

I didn't think this game was going to be that cool. But, boy was i wrong. This is the underdog game of 2017. You must get it! I just can't put it down. Even my wife enjoys playing it!

New to the series. This game is incredible. I am very impressed with gameplay, graphics, music and story.

Trust me, just buy this game. You have played nothing quite like this. And you will get sucked in for hours straight, never noticing how much time has actually passed. #flyeaglesfly

Very cool story, fun gameplay, decent replay value. Seems kind of short but the combat makes up for it.

Easy and fun action game with good controls and an interesting message. Lots of things to do making it a fairly long game if you do all side quests and try to get all 26 endings.

This game offers plenty of challenges and beauty that work absolutely perfectly in sync. The acting in the game is great and the story and the world presented really drew me in.

Nier: Automata is a great action RPG filled with beautiful locations and zany, fun-filled combat. Very satisfying from top to bottom. Platinum Games has created a real gem here.

For every game i buy, i do a little bit of research, trying to take each bit of info with a grain of salt. I normally don't buy Square Enix games. I have nothing against them, but there is something about their games that leans too much into Japanese culture that just doesn't appeal to me. However i decided to jump in, and while the game shows promise, it lacks variety. Pros: - Innovative Story: The story is very unique, describing humanity in a struggle to take back Earth from their Moon base by using Androids to fight the war for them. I love story and think the game gets high marks for telling it, and never being cliche. - Performance / Visuals: While i would like a little bit more detail in some sections and the design of certain areas, the game does have a very nice appeal where you get a near-solid 60 FPS (some dips) and a camera that is well made for the game. - Longevity: Not a category i usually would think a separate topic, but the game uses NG+ in a different way, as NG+ isn't quite what you think. I don't wish to spoil, but this game has a NG+ and NG++ that is different, and worth while. Cons: - Sound: Most reviews i saw gave high marks for the games sound. With the Music and level of SFX in the game, it is all done very well, and is high quality. HOWEVER, it all sounds the same. The music has this song that i swear is on an infinite loop and never differs. The SFX is crisp, but since you are always attacking machines (metal) your attacks all sound the same. - Gameplay: The game tries to merge its normal 3rd person action adventure with old school 2D/3D Old School Arcade style gaming. While i see the vision with this, it just doesn't quite fit. - Variety: The game tries to delve into mini-rpg elements but doesn't quite hit the nail on the head. You can vary your play style by selecting different weapon types (many of which have very similar move sets) and chip sets. However many chip sets are useless so the VAST variety of chips out there, wittle down to just a select few that you ever actually consider using. All the above said, the game is fun, just nothing amazing. I bought it on sale (as i always do) for 20 bucks and am glad i didn't spend more than that. I can see for those who like Square Enix games, that they probably will have a greater appreciation of the game than i do. That is why i gave it 3 stars as because even though i don't care for it, i can see how others will.

Got this on Black Friday. Amazing deals. Super fun and the graphics are excellent. Played for hours as soon as it was installed. Waiting for the weekend. Get this game now.

the first nier title was creative, heart touching, great music, great characters... MMEEEEHHHHHH gameplay. now you got that fixed in this game by platinum... its a winner!

This is an amazing game, one of the best games of 4017, get it when it goes back on sale which is like now until Christmas, and dont buy it for your kids buy it for you.

Outstanding game from a series that started back on the PS2. Great story, graphics, and action.

I played final fantasy 7 back when it first dropped. Ever since playing that game I have been looking for that type of feeling and that type of game. In my opinion nothing has ever come close to living up to it. This game while still not final fantasy 7 is probably the closest thing. The gameplay, the story is just intriguing. Again, not saying it's on that level but it's pretty darn close. Definitely worth the purchase.

Game of the decade. Everyone should play this. Every replay brings new things.

This game is so good. Haven’t seen all the game has to offer yet but the main storyline is great. Full of pathos, ethos, and logos, and tight action gameplay to boot.

it's just an amazing experience all around. The music..... let me tell you about the music. It's better than the actual game which is perfect. A perfection of a game.

This has by far been one if my favorite RPGs since Kingdom Hearts. Both the music and animation are superb and I've spent countless hours playing through all endings.
