While I'm not an RPG game kind of person, I saw enough positive reviews to give this game a try. And, overall, it's been worth the time and money spent. Nier: Automata has a cool story, fun fighting mechanics, and enough variety for someone that isn't all about RPGs all the time. Recommended.

Don't pass this game UP you will be amazed!!!!! I was on my seat the whole time!!!! It's JRPG but wow grabs every core of emotion and never a lost for action......

On the one hand the gameplay is typical platinum and is slick and fun, so it doesn't have that usual Yoko Taro jank. On the other hand, while the story is very good weird and interesting, it still can't live up to the original. Still, despite that it's an easy recommend to anyone that likes hack n slash games, action RPGS or generall weird games. The true ending of the game is worth the game's price alone.

Not many talk about this, but it's awesome! If you like action games like Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, and other button mashing games like these, you'll love this.

Great story telling. There are 26 different endings. This games combat is easy and fun to get in to. The graphics are amazing and the backgrounds are beautiful.

Nier is such a great open world experience! There so many quests to accept aside from the main story, the music is excellent, and the combat keeps me playing.

Awesome gameplay and music, mind-blowing story with multiple endings

2017 had a lot of great releases and so many might have missed this hidden gem. Don't skip it and give it a try. It is one of the most wonderful games on PS4.

Nier Automata has been on my radar for a while. When I got the game I had to play it right away, and I was not disappointed! The game is a hack and slash type of game, but adds in some skill elements that really give you that feeling of control you'd be looking for in this type of game. The feel of the game is gritty and mechanical, and works so well with the story.

Don't be fooled by the fan service and dirty comments that perverts have about this game! This is a masterpiece! Just the music alone makes it worth the experience. The story starts slow, but the second half will wreck you to the core! The gameplay is kinda button-smashy, but the constant changes of perspectives and mixed gameplay really keeps you on the toe all the time. Highly recommended!

Nier: Automata has one the most interesting worlds I've ever explored in a game. It seems like every hour you're in a different location while traveling to it's amazing soundtrack. Each character also has their own style of fighting on top of the game always presenting a new take on the environments in which you take battle keeps the game fresh through the consecutive five ending playthrough's.

Love the story, great music and graphics, you will be in for a ride!

I had heard about this game for a while and I finally bought. I was just expecting a cool little hack and slash but I soon became obsessed with it. The story was awesome but also really sad. I really liked the main characters and even the side characters had their charm. The music is also so good. Would recommend.

Seriously an amazing game. The story is surprisingly touching for a game that revolves around robots. The game play is nice for an action rpg. There are like 20+ joke ending that lighten the mood, which is needed in the dreary post apocalyptic earth. Also, there is zero need to have played the previous version of the game. The story is pretty self contained. Very minor references and cameos.

A beautiful game with an amazing sound track, wonderful character and level designs, fluid combat system and a great story that leaves you wanting more.

This game is truly a piece of art in so many ways. This is easily the most overtly philosophical games I've ever played delving deep into the nature of existence and how we derive meaning and truth from our existence, our experiences and the world itself. There are many references to many famous philosophers throughout history that cover than many aspect and methodologies humans have used to find these answers. On top of this, the game is directed by the famous Yoko Taro, who is known for a unique style of story telling than conveys messages in a manner not instantly obvious or spelled out for you. You need to make a genuine effort to understand what is happening and the messages being conveyed. A lot of stuff will likely go over your head during your first play through. Also be ready for lots of crying. This game really messes with your heart and expectations of what will happen. I can't tell you how many times I was caught off guard and even cried. And to top it all off, the soundtrack is gorgeous. The music alone brings so much life to a bleak and desolate world filled with machines. This is easily among the top 5 best gaming experiences of the current generation. If you don't play this game, you are missing out on something special.
