After falling slightly short with a few lackluster titles (TMNT and Legend of Korra) Platinum games returns with their signature combat in the continuation of the NieR series from Square-Enix. Slick controls and engrossing combat are the icing on the cake of a buttery smooth frame rate and interesting story. Yes this game can be a bit quirky at times, and is VERY Japanese, but if you can get past some of those stranger foibles, you will find a game that wont disappoint.

I just got the game and I can't wait to finally play it. I heard the storyline is amazing.

I am a big fan of J-RPG, and this is something that I would like to try. Worth the money.

What prevents NieR: Automata from greatness are the many frame drops on the PS4 Pro version. I recommend buying the digital version on the Xbox One X where I've repeatably read that its run a lot more smoothly and at 4K! NieR: Automata has, maybe, the only video game ending where I shed tears to! Here's a tip: when you first see the ending credits, I suggest you go back and load your file. Who knows what else you might experience?

When I first purchased this game, I was fairly skeptical. Reviews were good, but I was hesitant. I purchased this at a good price, and definitely was not disappointed. The game is unconventional, but a ton of fun to play for a couple of minutes or hours.

There really isn't another game I can compare to this. It has like 4 genres all rolled into one. Onevminute it. Side scrollwr. Then it's a shooter. Then it's a flight simulator and them it's a rpg. It's simply a mist have and it's in my top 50:of all time right now.

The amount different game types in this game is amazing. While deep down it is a Platinum game, with amazing action game play. There is also rpg, text adventure, and shooter game play thrown in. The game is also lengthy and requires multiple play throughs for the true ending.

This is the craziest most unique adventure game I've ever played. I dont want to spoil anything but if you like adventure games, you will like this. There are TONS of weird, quirky, unique gameplay features that I dont want to spoil here. Play it and be surprised like i was!

The game had a descent story and the gameplay was solid. My only issue was the backtracking for side quests.

This is probably one of the best well-done and mature games I have ever played. The issues suffered by their characters are very tough & philosophical and show deep questions and thoughts about rich human concepts like existence, family, and solitude. I am amazed.

Excellent game play and options. Not the longest game but allows for multiple replays with differing endings.
