When this game first came out, I thought "doesn't look like a game I would ever play." Never really batted an eye to it until one of my friends asked me about it. I decided to go ahead and buy it just to give it a shot. Right now, I would say this is one of my favorite games of all time. It's weird (which I like), exiting and has an amazing story. The one thing you need to know is that you HAVE TO play through the game at least three times to get the full experience. I was completely entertained through the whole thing. It's a beautiful game and the soundtrack is probably the best I've ever heard. Seriously, I would recommend this game to everyone. At the least look into it. I honestly can't do this game justice with this short review. I've heard others say and I would agree, Nier Automata is a masterpiece.

One of those hidden gems that can be easily over looked. It’s a hack n slash RPG with a little bit of everything. It also offers an exceptional soundtrack.

Absolutely phenomenal game. Music is amazing, gameplay is incredibly fun with decent but not overbearing depth, a unique art style, twisting story, and loads of cool things few if any other games have ever done.

I loved the story, gameplay and art style. Once again Platinum makes another great game with charterers you'll fall in love with. There are different endings depending on the way you play the game which has replay value.

This is without a doubt one of the best games I've ever played, great characters, story, music (a particular highlight) gameplay, and designs. I think you get more out of it if you play Nier 1 before this, but it's not required.

A great action game with great character design, a wide variety of game play from character action to side scrolling to scrolling shooter and more, amazing music and plenty of replay value. A hidden gem of 2017.

If you love the RPG and Action/Adventure genre, this is will be a great game to pick up. If you can hold out to the end, the rewards are worth it.

I've enjoyed playing this game. It looks and plays really good. Controls are easy to get use to. There is replay value to it since it has multiple endings. I had roughly 60h in it when I finished. Overall I'd recommend it.

great gameplay, awesome soundtrack, and solid graphics.

This game, if you are a fan of hack and slash titles, is a system seller. Be it on PS4 or PC via STEAM this game is a must have. The story elements alone could have sold the game but the gameplay is where, this must have, gem really shines. The gameplay feels very reminiscent of the likes of Bayonetta, Devil May Cry, or Kingdom Hearts, with a polish that easily beats those titles up and down. The game will run you about 50 - 60 hours, maybe longer for those new to this kind of gameplay. The game also contains a good blend of other game genres, outside of action rpg, such as a competent aerial shooter like classic games such as treasures Ikaruga. If you have a PS4 stop reading this review and buy this game! PC elitist can enjoy this title too on STEAM

Definitely a must buy they story the graphics 10/10

There are 2 things you need to enjoy, story and action. This game's ending is not one. It has A to Z. Ending A to D are the main endings. Make sure you watch these 4 endings. They are critical to understand the full story. Nier's story totally changes when you change point of view. The side quests are like Witcher 3. Side quests have such a great and huge impact on understanding the whole story. I'm telling you, the story is so deep. When you study and make your own combo, but using different chip programs or different weapon combinations, you will play totally different game. Please do not just press attack buttons. The action is so deep. Switch back and forth between your weapon sets and pod programs. You will enjoy the game even more.

This game makes no sense with anything. Seriously though, it is fun to play. You get JRPG style, shooter style, hack-n-slash style, twin stick style. The soundtrack is really good too. The story is weird and the reasons why stuff is happening is kind of dumb. It could be the JRPG portion of it or something. I've spend a few hours on it and I don't like some of the characters, especially 9S, who unfortunately is with you the whole time. But the game play makes up for it and seeing what is going to happen next. Other characters are strange too. Kind of A.D.D. all over the place. Like this review. Anyway, I read how much people loved the previous Nier game and how much they love this one so I gave it a shot and I am not unhappy with it.

Excellent gameplay, story, graphics and challenge.

The game is fun, has tight controls, and changes from one genre to the next at any moment. The story is wacky like only Yoko Taro can pull off, you do not need to play any of the games before this one to enjoy it.

This game is a pretty typical RPG, but it is reminiscent of Dark Souls in its story telling. The game shines on it's free flowing combat.

It's been a long time since I've been so enveloped in a game! The gameplay is awesome, the music is great, the history is very interesting and there are 5 alternative endings; totally worth the money!

This game has a great, and convoluted Scifi story that make you want to put replays on your bucket list to get the other endings. The game play is split between topdown, sidescrolling bullet shooters, with hack and slash action RPG. There is a mix of open world, and pathed areas to explore. This one is a keeper.
