Posted .If the video is lagging, you simply need to change the Wi-Fi channel. By default, it is set to Channel 11. If you have a lot of traffic on Channel 11, it can lead to a lag. Try a different channel with less traffic and that should fix the issue. Thank you!

Not worth it

They do fail to record and upload the recorded videos to the app after a certain number of recordings. I hope they fix this.

Night Owl NVR Designers Should Go Back To School

I believe that most buyers want the camera mounted high on the house for visibility and theft prevention. The eaves are the best place for installation. The Night Owl NVR camera is provided with a ~12 inch DC power input cord. Night Owl also provides an AC/DC converter on a ~9 foot cord to connect to the camera power cord to AC power. Night Owl DOES NOT provide an extender cable to allow for camera-to-power outlet distance greater than ~9 feet. Neither can one be found elsewhere on the market. It's an extreme curiosity how Night Owl can advertise eave mounting when 99.999% of all homes DO NOT have AC power available within 9 feet of the eaves of any house. It goes without saying that their camera system cannot be installed on my home and has been summarily returned. Night Owl "designers" have earned a rating of Zero Stars, both for them and their product. Congrats Night Owl!

Posted .Good Afternoon. These are standard AC power adapters. If you need to go further than 9 ft., all you have to do is use a standard extension cord to bridge the gap. If the cord will be exposed under the eave of your home, then use an extension cable with the appropriate weather-resistant rating. Much like a string of christmas lights, an extension cable can be used to connect the camera to an outlet. Thank you!
