I have installed 5 so far and the quality of the image is very good. I am not loving the app so much it does freeze alot and takes a little long to load but i really like the quality of the cameras overall.

Great picture. Easy to use. Installing these cameras were simple. Anyone could installed these camera. The instructions were easy to follow. The picture is clear and bright. Love these cameras.

Cameras take very clear pictures and have a longer range than stated on the package. The cameras will take pictures at night as well, but the cameras must be outside to do so. The quality of the night pictures depends on the amount of light from the moon, street lights, head lights, etc. Obviously, if you can't see what is in the dark, neither will the camera; if there is enough light for you to see the cameras will be able to do so as well.

Was easy to install. System works really great. No problems thus far I would recommend to anyone. No doubt would make purchase again, no regrets.

Good starter unit with clear video. Wish it came with longer cables though

My 1st security system. The set up was very quick and easy. The picture during the day is ok. At night you can make out figures unless standing directly in front of the camera. Mobile app is good for reviewing remotely but there's no fast forward or rewind on playback. You have to watch the entire recording

I was supprised to see how good the picture on the camera's are. I had heard a lot of negitive comments on this system but I only had one issue. The camera's wouldn't record. Something they don't tell you is that by turning off the heat sensor, they work great.

This set replaces an older set that still worked, but not very well. This Night Owl system is great - crisp pictures, good color and good quality pictures even at night. Our furthest camera is about 200 ft. away and the picture is just as good as the closest one. So glad we purchased this new system!

Great home surveillance for day and night with notification when motion is detected.

As the CTO for the agency I work for, the audio/video surveillance systems are my purview. I purchased 2 XHD301-84P setups which include the 8 channel HD DVR and 4 1080p indoor/outdoor cameras each, as well as the various cables/connectors etc....I even went to Night Owl's web site and purchased additional cameras, mics and extension cables. I have them installed at two different locations connected via VPN. While the installation and set up were easy enough, the app does not do some of the things it is supposed to, such as managing User Accounts, all I can do in the app is change the password for the account that I am logged into. Aside from setting recording options (continuous/motion) and recording schedule, there is not any way to manage the DVRs so a twenty mile drive is required. Camera viewing is not very intuitive, whatever view I am in when I close the app is the view I return to when I open the app again instead of the 'Favorite' view I have stored which includes the cameras from both locations. When I tap on a camera to view, the audio on that channel still plays, but the video freezes....etc... The NightOwlX_CMS PC based management software is a joke. Of course I installed the software as administrator and set my security software to allow it to run. I logged in with the account I set up in the app, and it seemed to work....for about 45 seconds I can see all of the cameras at both locations, then I lose all of the video feeds and a 'connection failed' message is displayed on each channel and I have to close the program and reopen it, but about 45 seconds later it happens again. I started searching around and found several places, including the play store where....ahem....customer service had responded with different upload speed requirements for different customers for the same product, one says 6Mbps the other says 3Mbps, always conveniently higher than what the reviewer has. Customer Service?? I reached out on the 8th with my problem and they responded with a cookie cutter email that states the EXACT same thing as the support site with one exception, they said that I had to have an upload speed of 10Mbps (how interesting that I have over 8Mbps) when the support site states that 2Mbps is the minimum! When I pointed out these conflicting requirements, they have stopped responding. Do NOT buy anything from this company.

Easy to setup and install the remote viewing and notifications are nice. It will store quality high def video for about 2.5 weeks. This is the second time I have installed this system. It’s a good system for the price and I would buy it again

This system is very solid and considering the price it was an excellent value. I bough this to install it on a friend’s business and found it on sale for just $300. The app is very responsive and it connects very quickly, at least a lot quicker than the Wisenet I installed in his home. The cameras look good and it can be setup to stream HD to the phone or tablet.

Excelent camera and very useful for my business. It comes with a motion detector that identify and send you a notification.

This system was easy to set up and the night vision is good.

I just have this equipment like 1 week ago and is pretty decent for the price and the installation is really easy you don't need AC power source in every camera, decent quality.
