Amazing! The best! I love this lens. It's the lens that seems to stay attached to my camera the most, it's the most used lens I own.

I love, love, love this lens. I had the DSLR version and was using it with the adapter. I finally took the plunge and just grabbled the Z version for my Z camera. Not one bit disappointed. Gorgeous bokeh at 70mm and all in between. It handles highlight and low light like a champ!

The Nikkor Z 24-70mm f/2.8 S is hands down one of the best lenses I’ve ever used. The build quality feels professional and solid, and the optics are incredible—razor sharp from edge to edge with beautiful color rendering and contrast. The constant f/2.8 aperture makes it perfect for low-light shooting and gives amazing subject separation with creamy bokeh. Autofocus is fast, quiet, and extremely accurate, which is a huge plus for both stills and video. The customizable control ring and function button make it super versatile and user-friendly. It’s a bit of an investment, but you get what you pay for—this lens delivers professional results every time. If you’re shooting with a Nikon Z camera and want a workhorse lens that can handle everything from portraits to landscapes to events, this is the one. Worth every penny.

The best Nikon lens I have ever owned!

I am a professional photographer who is currently using the Nikon D3s, D3x, and the Leica M8. I have looked at Sony, and Canon Mirror less and I decided to stay with Nikon; and I am glad that I did! This lens is tack sharp from corner to corner and the colors are awesome. Auto focus is spot on, and using the lens in manual mode is just fine as well. I have been using mirror less cameras for over 45 years with the venerable Leica M system with manual focus. This lens is right up there with my Leica Sumicron f2. Now my D3s will be my back up camera and the Nikon Z7 with the outstanding 24-70 2.8 S will be my primary camera.( with almost half the weight!) I am one happy customer!

The Nikon Z 24–70mm f/2.8 S is a staple in my video kit, paired with either the Z6III or Z8 depending on the job. It’s razor sharp across the range, which is why I almost always throw a 1/8 mist filter on it to take off some of that digital edge. The bokeh and overall rendering are smooth and natural, especially toward the long end, making it a great option for portraits in between video setups. Focus breathing is minimal, stabilization is rock solid, and it holds its own on a gimbal when I need it to. However, stabilization is more the user than it is the equipment (IMO at least). Most of the time, though, I’m handheld, and this lens feels like a reliable workhorse. But that's because I also use it on a Z8 & Z6iii There are a few things I’d change. I don’t use the top LCD at all, and I wish it had internal zoom for better balance and peace of mind in rough conditions. The newer internal zoom version is tempting, but I’m not sold unless it’s more compact. Portability matters when you travel as much as I do, and this one still fits cleanly into a backpack. I also appreciate the 82mm filter thread since most of my filters match, which keeps my kit streamlined. If I lost it tomorrow, I might consider downsizing to something like the Tamron 28–75 G2 for the weight savings, but only if it doesn’t feel like a step back in performance. For now, the Z 24–70mm f/2.8 S stays glued to my camera more often than not. However, if I'm traveling for leisure, and only bringing one lens, it's this or the 24-120 because of the longer reach.

I shoot sports and portraits for the local paper and this lens is a beast! Fast action, up close and personal this lens does it all and with amazing sharpness and contrast. Build quality is top notch. It's a bit on the heavy side for a smaller body camera but it's worth it which you'll understand once you view the photos you just took. Pair this with the Z 70-200 with a 1.4 teleconverter and you are set. And don't forget the new Z 100-400 if you are into wildlife photography. Under $3,000 and f5.6 at the long end. 10 years ago this would not have been possible. It's a great time to be a photographer! Enjoy!

My first native lens for the Nikon Z cameras. I previously used the FTZ adapter with my old F mount glass, but this is better. Obvioulsy less weight with no FTZ, but also less length. The native glass is SHARP. and focuses very well. This is the way to appreciate the Z cameras. I just wish it was less expensive

Great Lens. The image quality is superior. The only downsides are weight and cost, but it is expected with a f/2.8 lens such as this one.

Great lens for the Nikon Z6 II, definitely happy with the versatility of the 24-70 focal range. The 2.8 definitely helps make a better image with bokeh, not too crazy bokeh, but happy with it. The build quality is fantastic and it definitely feels too notch. Image quality has been really sharp and clean. Definitely recommended for the better low light and bokeh that this lens can do.

Outstanding in all regards!! It’s relatively heavy and expensive, but truly a professional lens. It focuses fast, silently, and accurately. Image quality is incredible at every focal length. And it just feels incredible in the hand. brother. Contrast and colour rendition are excellent. If anybody is thinking of buying this lens, don't think anymore, go ahead and buy one.

I bought this for my Nikon Z7II and love it, It is super sharp, a little on the heavy side but that is because it is a metal very well made lens, I was able to save $300 during Nikon's sale days, get it now
