    Be careful before buying this lens. Unfortunately, the employee at Best Buy did not tell me that this lens was incompatible with my camera. So rather than around $300, more than $600 was spent to purchase a NEW camera body that IS compatible. Check the Canon website before purchasing.

    Good lens for shooting real estate photos. It helps get interior photos and show more of the room than most other lens. Decent low light shots.

    Great wide angle lens. 10mm is a must when shooting on APS-C. Minimal distortion and probably the sharpest lens in this price range.

    Took some great portraits with it right out of the box, able to get as close as I needed to. Be aware of the barrel "distortion" at full zoom and at the edges.

    Takes a little getting used to ... has barrel distortion which can sometimes be corrected in post processing. Mainly used for architectural photos. I try not to use it at its widest .. less distortion
