So I have a photographer friend who recommended this 35mm lens. I had done research months before and bought a 50mm but I always had trouble finding the right depth with a 50mm for the portrait shots. I got this 35mm and noticed a drastic difference in the picture quality for the types of shots I wanted. With the 50mm it was a lot of 20 shots of the same thing to try and get the right depth and result but with this 35mm, it only took me 3-5 shots to get the exact shot and result I was going for. I love this 35mm lens.

This Nikon 35 m m F 1.8 lens was acquired for low light indoor images and cityscape true lines... I really like the lens and at $200, it is the least expensive that I use regularly! I tell all my D X using friends that they need one; in their camera bag!

I received the lens as a gift from my wife for Christmas and it is exactly what I was needing for low light situations since I don't have a flash attachment. I've used it several times and I am pleased with the results I get so far.

very easy-to-use. Photos are very good. Lens hood is good for eliminating side light that would degrade picture quality.

I bought this lens to carry around and get low light pictures inside and it is great. I took pics of my baby granddaughter running and in constant motion and pics were clear and sharp.

I needed an extra “go to” lens that was foolproof. This was the lens. F1.8 gives yo7 the sbi,it’s tonshhot in low light and the 35mm focal length is great for tight shots. Great lens and blurry backgrounds.

If you do indoor photos or low-light photos, using a prime lens with an aperture range of f/1.8 to f/22 will allow more light into the sensor, so your photos are brighter without using a flash or other light source. You will also get beautiful bukah (blurred background) with a lower aperture. This is a fixed lens--your feet are the zoom. You move closer/farther away from your subject. The aperture range is f/1.8 to f/22. I use this lens about 95% of the time over my zoom lenses.

This is my second 35mm for DX camera. I gave the other to my son in college and I got this for my D500. Always sharp and perform very well at low light conditions. Light and small.

I purchased this lens for two reasons. One I wanted it and the second was I needed a reliable lens to shoot a wedding this weekend. I'm very happy with this lens, in fact I prefer this one to the 50 mm that I purchased. I used it with my Nikon D3300 and the pictures came out beautiful.

I find this lens very easy to use with great photos repeatedly. On my camera 100% of the time. Use my legs for zooming in and out. For the price, you won't find a better value or take better photos. Great compliment to the D7000

I love using this lens on my D300. It is light weight. It has a wide open aperture f/1.8 is very good when you are working in low-light. It is however a basic lens making it harder for beginners to set-up composition of the shot.

I was told by a friend to get this to shoot with my D3200 since it wil equate to shooting with a 50mm, and I've been impressed by what this lense does every beginner should have one of these in their bag,
