Perfect lens for portrait photography
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted to have a prime lens and i had two options 35mm or 50mm. I chose 35 as I like to go closer to the subjects. Even for low lights and night photography this is your best companion.

No-brainer prime lens for low light shooting
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A no-brainer $200 prime lens, 50mm equivalent on DX Nikon cameras. Quite sharp across the frame and very little vignetting even wide open. No good reason for a Nikon DX shooter to not own this lens.

Nice Lens, Great Value!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great entry level prime lens, especially at this price. Small, light, well-built. Great image quality - sharp focus, nice bokeh. Good autofocus with the option to manually focus without having to flip a switch. The only thing missing is vibration reduction, but at 35mm you shouldn't need it if you have good technique!
