This is my go to lens for my photography and every day shooting. I love the bokeh I get from it. This is like shooting with a 50 mm on my cropped censor. I love it!

Great lens for a tenth of the price of the 1.4. Pretty decent at F 1.8, very sharp at 2.2 and up. Very little distortion. Only downfalls: doesn't work on FX format cameras.

Bought it an upgrade to my 50mm, does a great job on my D7100. With the DX format I get a focal length of close to 52mm and like the aperture for the price point

There really is a difference in the pictures with this lense. It brings the object forward or back and gives great depth and detail. I bought this for my mother who loves to photograph the food she creates and posts on FB. She also loves filming close ups of the greenery nearby, especially flowers. All in all, she is a happy camper. Thank you for a great lense. A bit costly but worth the results

I've been using kit zoom lenses with my Nikon D90 and am relatively satisfied with the results, since I can't really afford to go on a shopping spree buying professional glass. This lens has met my expectations admirably. The images have been very sharp. Some reviews downplayed the bokeh this lens can produce and I was a bit apprehensive. I;m totally satisfied with the blurred backgrounds. If you want the equivalent of a 50mm prime lens on your cropped sensor camera, run, don;t walk, to add this to your camera bag. I haven't had it off of my camera since I made the purchase. I Love it!

Great addition to the usual two-lens-plus-body kit- this faster lens allows more control of depth of field. The lens is also light and optically very good.
