Good lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good lens for the price. Nice bokeh. Doesn't take up much room in the camera bag.

Simply a great lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This lens has been a very good added addition to the other lenses that we use. I almost, only, use this lens now. I work with kids and taking pictures with this lens is great since it has the auto focus feature. It allows me to take crisp pictures more easily. The lens is not bulky and does not way down my camera. For close up, and very clear, pictures this lens is truly worth it's price.

This lens is great; but....
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The lens takes great pictures and is the one which primarily stays on my camera. After a few months the camera would state the lens wasn't mounted correctly event though it was. Best Buy cust service rep would not let me return it for exchange. I had to buy another lens and will now have to send the defective one to Nikon. I expected more from Best Buy. Disappointed.

Best budget prime for DX
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent sharpness for such a budget lens. 35mm is the first prime you should buy with a DX camera.

Great lens!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My first lens purchase (besides the kit lens). Bought this from recommendations to help become a better photographer...they were 100% correct. Images are crisp and clear, it really makes you work on your shot composition and forces you to really be interactive with the subject. Lens feels solid and has been trouble free.

Good prime lens for crop sensor
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This focal length corresponds to 52mm on full frame. I use this when I feel like challenging myself with a fixed focal length lens when I go out shooting. I mainly use it for street photography.

For a beginner easy stunning pix
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a neophyte and vaguely self taught. Sifting through the internet the general consensus was to invest in a prime lens to complement your kit lenses. Knowing I didn't want to go through the hassle of having a a potentially unliked lens delivered I headed to my local Best Buy. After checking their selections I initially bought the 50 millimeter lens, but found it a bit constricting. Without any hassle I returned it and got the 35 millimeter. I have not been disappointed and am able to take portraits with nice bokeh and as well as landscape shots. Low light photography also improved dramatically in comparison to the kit lenses. If you do a little research you will find that this lens is super reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend it and plan on getting a 50 millimeter when my budget permits.

AMAZING
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So i asked around all my tech friends and camera lovers which would be best during my travel in Mexico. I would be traveling in busses and 'combi' which is a smaller version of a bus and those travel at high speeds and no time to adjust the lens at all time. THIS LENS WAS PERFECT! It captured all the high and low lit images perfectly, so crisp and clear and simply beautiful. I have a Nikon D5200.

A must have lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love these lens. It's really a level up from the standard lens. It's perfect for photographers working with a single subject. The lens focuses on the subject and blurs the background which is perfect for portraits. I recommend this lens over the 1.8f 50mm one because this lens comes with auto/manual focus and it requires a short distance from the subject to focus.

Gorgeous lens
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.LOVE my 35mm lens with my Nikon D40 (crop sensor). Because my camera is a crop sensor it comes out to be more of a 50mm which I am ok with. The image quality is great and I love the shallow depth of field I can achieve with this lens. It's a good price for a beginner/hobby photographer looking to get out of the 18-55mm kit lens.
