Must have for any small frame camera!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great step up from any kit lens. Being a prime lens built for small frame. It works amazingly with any intro nikon. I've even used it for film. The lens focuses fast and very quiet! The lens is a 35mm lens but, on a small frame camera like the d3000, that would be about 52mm which is an even better deal! Now you get just as much sharpness for a 50mm lens with this awesome silent af!

Well it defiantly has a good Bokeh
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Much better than my 18-140mm Kit Lens from Nikon, even though I love my 18-140mm lens, this is way better in Bokeh, and a lot clearer in detail for the same type photo as I compared them myself today when I bought it to make sure, I never bought a Prime Lens before but now I am a believer in them...

Like everything Nikon; excellent quality, perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this for my wife for her birthday. She has three other lenses for her Nikon D5300. I believe this will receive the most use of the collection. She claims it is more practical for parties, and or family portraits. The fit was perfect, as was the functionality and picture quality. 5 stars.

Pretty impressive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not the pro but I’m throughly impressed by this lens. I bought this as my 85 mm which I used to use often was practically useless inside apartment. Pictures are not as sharp as 85mm 1.8 but works pretty well on low light as well.

Money well spent
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I always liked using fast 50 lenses and with a crop factor on a DSLR this is a similar focal length. The lens is sharp and the auto focus is great, the f1.8 is great for indoor shooting without a flash. If you have only the kit lens I'd recommend this as a great second lens.

Very good for day to day use
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am using this with my Nikon D90. I had Nikon 50mm 1.8D before I bought this which I was not able to use for day to day photography and had to keep multiple lenses most of the time. And with 35mm that problem is gone for me. The image quality is still as good as 50mm and depth-of-field is still very very good. With 1.8G, I've got better motor. Definitely recommending.

Great beginner's primary lense!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a beginner's primary lense and after reading many, many reviews, decided on adding this to my Nikon D7000! Have not been disappointed up to this point. Although, I have not had the opportunity to truly run it through the gamut, I have placed my faith in my research and the Nikon name! I will update my review in the future if I find my expectations were false.
