Lens is a great addition to any amateur or pro photographers collection. It takes awesome pictures in low light. I haven't use any of my other lenses since I got this one. And for the price, you can't find a better lens.

I use it with my Nikon D5000, and it is wonderful to achieve the depth of field effect blurring backgrounds. I still have to give it a try on low light situations though.

This is a great prime lens for everyday street photography, when having a zoom may be to much. if zoom is need walk closer to your subject or farther away simply one of the clearest lens in this range no fringing and color is vibrate

Love the lens! BestBuy will call pick-up was very unorganized. Couldn't find my product, had to come back the next day and they still had a hard time locating it.

this is a perfect lens for working indoors and portraits. Gathers a lot of light and fast shutter speeds are possible without a flash

I have a D7100 body as a back-up and walk-around camera. Sometimes my FX lenses are just too large. This lens affords a normal field of view and is priced right. It gets Thom Hogan's approval and that is enough for me.

The lens does everything its supposed to. The f/1.8 produces some amazing sharpness of the object you're picturing.

I like my 50 mm but the 35mm works better for me because i can get wider shots. Taking photos in my 35 mm alllows me to shoot in smaller spaces

I love this lens. I needed one with a wider angle of view than the 50mm f1.8 . This just might see more play than the 50mm now. It has a lot of positive reviews on line also.

Great first lens to buy and upgrade from the kit lens. It's not the sharpest at times, but it gets the job done. For the price, this is one of the best lenses you can upgrade to from the kit lens if you're using the Nikon System. Don't be afraid of it being a Prime lens either, move your feet to get your shot!
